Our defense has improved every year under Elko. Hard to fault him for Jimbos shitty offense.

Word is Elko got away from Kelly ASAP. He was only there 1 year.

That’s right. Then Brian Kelly hired Chuck Lea, who is now the head coach at Vandy, then hired Marcus Freeman, who is now the head coach at Notre Dame

shite that Brian Kelly guy knows how to identify good coaches

Well one just left them for greener pastures and the other stayed behind and got promoted. Doesn’t take much sleuthing to read between the lines there.

Oh we don’t. Saban was a loser/nobody before LSU made him. Kelly is an established winner. That’s why you’re all completely fricked

The amount of shite you're having to make up in your arguments is suggesting you don't think Brian Kelly is a good hire.

To play devils advocate Saban definitely has a role in making LSU into what it is today and I don’t believe we would’ve have achieved the success we have had he not been here. No Saban, and none of this happens. Like it or not.

Oh is that so? How about we take a gander at what I said before he was even hired?

Freeman promoted to DC and we didn’t even want the OC! So far it’s all good. WE ARE LSU. Just like the coaching search worked itself out so will everything else

In fairness we did want the OC but he’s an ND alum and they beefed up his deal so

Kelly is an arse. Nobody wants to work for him, including Elko

Just saw all of Kelly's top assistants told him to go frick himself and are staying at Notre Dame.

Has there ever been a major hire that couldn't get any of his top assistants to follow him to a new job? Wonder why his staff hate him so much.

Meanwhile, in Aggotland....
A 5-6 LSU team, our worst team in two decades, just dashed any hope that y’all had of a 10 win season this year.
Texas A&M has had ONE, 1, a single 10 win season in the past 20 years.
Your last title was before WW2 ended.
You have milkmen male cheerleaders.
That’s all.
That’s the joke.

Saban didn't have a decade of mediocrity behind him with several ugly losses to Bama. But you're gonna convince yourselves anyway. We'll see how it plays out on the field. Same as always I'll bet.

Rumor is he's having to start from scratch.

Saban brought no one to LSU when he arrived. He did ok.

People are primarily loyal to themselves and their families. They are loyal to a boss or a business only to the point that it doesn’t inhibit their own self interests. Factors like salary, job stability, living closer to family, wife and kids in a better situation, less stress, etc., are a helluva lot more important than working for Apple or Microsoft, LSU or Notre Dame.

That said, I don’t think this is a Brian Kelly issue. I think the staff just wants to stay put instead of making a lateral move. What if Freeman had been offered the LSU job? Would the whole staff had followed and left Kelly by himself? Probably not.

None.

However, Saban wasn't 60 when he arrived in Baton Rouge and hadn't established a track record of questionable hires like Kelly has.

Kelly has a track record of questionable hires? Is that why all these other schools are elated to be hiring them?
