Has a current SEC defensive coordinator ever surrendered 60 points or more to another SEC school in a game? Surely not. They wouldn’t still be employed right?

Kevin Steele once gave up 70 in a game, is that what you were looking for?
ETA - I see you had to change the question to avoid that.

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. Who did he give it up to? Who was he coaching for?
And yes, I made a typo in the original so I corrected it. But you are Semantic Pedantic Tiger, so you caught it. Any others?

Steele is currently on his third stint on Saban's staff, and his defense was worse statistically this year than Golding's was last year. I'm reminded of another thread OP started today asking why LSU re-hired Blake Baker.

Kevin Steele gave up 45 points to Middle Tennessee State just last season.

Stats lie though. Golding is exotic on defense. Steele is basic.

You got that right.

Golding never met a good offense he wouldn’t drop Will Anderson into coverage.

They both have their drawbacks. I just don’t think Steele would let 2022 Tennessee happen.

I can only think of one off the top of my head but he did hold them to 7 a year later.
