Hell... even Bennett has a season of starts.

I'm not ignoring your point. But those players have plenty of game reps.

They have no starts with your team.

Look at Joe Burrow at LSU in his first year.

Daniel was just released to play what, a few days ago from an injury? He is no where near ready. Stetson Bennett will never be a Georgia Quarterback unless your other Quarterbacks come down with bad sushi food poisoning.

These guys have never played in a live game together, and that is significantly different than practicing.

Not to mention there are less practices, my friend. That means you guys are going to have to rely on stability at the coaching and player level.

That is not something you guys have in spades.

How are they any more talented or experienced than they were against Auburn?

Even Michigan was running all over you.

They have more depth, those inxperienced freshman linebackers have more experience (they'll play much faster this year) and those injured lineman(Ray, Dale, etc) are back. They recruited numerous 4-5 star defensive lineman and linebackers. The defense will be better than last year.. BOOKMARK IT. If you don't think they will be much more improved then I have a bridge to sell you in Iran..

Ya'll ain't got no Burrow. If you think you're going to replace Fromm with a better passer in one year, you're out of your mind. Even Burrow, as one of the best college QBs of all time struggled his first year.

You are like a dog with squirrels in the yard. The Burrow comment isnt aimed at having a Heisman winning QB. It is aimed at having a 24 year old who should be in the NFl abusing a bunch of 19 year olds.

You could say the same with UGA in 2017 with 22 year old Chubb and Michel.

UGA is an older, more mature (physically, mentally, and preparedness) team in 2020. It matters.

I love the defensive recruits at UF for 2019 and 2020. I'm jealous that Grantham is doing for you something that he didnt do at UGA. But they are still kids this season. I wont laugh at your seasons mistakes "with all that talent" because I know that the talent will be dangerous in 2021 and 2022. That is how college football works.

What will you say if UGA wins the East and beats UF going 9-1? Are you still going to continue and act like UGA is overrated and Kirby is a below average coach?

No shite. But they have starts.
Be a better poster. Be honest.

The offseason didnt go away because of covid. Skeleton and passing still happened. Workouts still happened. And this year, coaches were allowed to be present. Coaches have had more access to the players during the summer than any time the NCAA has been involved.

Now, Daniels is coming off an ACL. And Newman has been nicked up this summer too. That takes valuable reps away. But the players have been together and throwing.

Replacing almost your entire offensive line (4 starters gone) with a new offensive line coach,

I don't think the line takes as big of a step back as most think. Theres a lot of combined starts on the roster. Like Ben Cleveland who started almost the entire 2017 season (our best performing offensive line during Kirby's coaching) and got hurt and then passed on the depth chart by other talent we have. Our Center has the 2nd highest returning PFF grade at his position in the country. Isiah Wilson was a brand new starter in 2018 and ended up with one of the higher PFF grades in the country as a first year starter at RT so its not crazy to think we reload there again.

The rest is concerning though. We bounced back fairly strong in 2018 after losing two of the best backs in SEC history though. Plus I believe losing Fromm is addition by subtraction. He played well against Florida and Notre Dame and that was pretty much it. Its unbelievable we won 12 games last year when Fromm completed less than 50% in half of them and we honestly might have beaten South Carolina if we just ran the ball every play haha. Dude was a turnover machine in our only regular season loss... I will not miss him.

Glass houses and all that.

The key will be to beat Georgia. if they can do that it could be a huge year for them. Lose and it could be very difficult.

It actually is when you consider its Alabama vs Michigan and Michigan finished 77th in rushing offense last season.

Their two backs averaged 4.6 yards combined.

If you want to use a single instance to prove your point.....okay....

How many starts did Trask have with Florida AND his HS combined before last season?
He was a bench warmer in HS, and a bench warmer with very little experience at Florida. he had 22 pass attempts before last season.
Don't you think experience at the college level will serve Newman well? I think you need to rethink your logic.

Good chance most of the starters for Florida had played very, very little with Trask in a live game before last season, or are you forgetting?

Looking back on your track record? I think if I were you I would shy away from predicting anything about Georgia.

Haha I'm pretty sure you predicted Florida beating UGA by 2 touchdowns so if you say someone is out of their mind you'll have to at least be able to laugh at yourself and not take this so seriously. The point is more along the lines that Transfer QBs are having great success. No one has Burrow. But we just need a QB that's better than Fromm. Which isn't saying much. He was the sole reason we lost our only regular season loss to a bad South Carolina team and he completed less than half his passes in half our games last year.

Florida will be very good this season and I think the game is just as close as last year. Depends on who can run the ball and who has the better defense IMO.

They really are insane on 247 like no respect for top 10 matchups or the job Mullen has done

2 different QBs 2 different OLs still UGA won but in the polls they finished very close to where UF has last 2 years

Kirby is a great coach and recruiter no doubt but he won in 18 where u fresh off a title appearance. Franks horrible

Trask at least was solid in Jax 257 20/31 257 yds 2 TD 0 INT not bad at all

And that was with him uncharacteristically missing passes early and domination from UGA DL

Hopefully the OL is better at running the ball

Those first rd OTs str8 stonewalled any pass rush too

I hope so!

We (Georgia fans) tend to get a little defensive sometimes. 1980 and all that.

I agree. I just think it's pathetically sad that ANY thread about Florida gets hounded by Georgia fans. How you can not see that as insecurity is crazy. It's absolute insecurity, because Georgia fans are on their 40th anniversary of their last title team, and if UF tops you then the disappointment will overwhelm you.

Do you get that it's a rivalry and we literally have 20 times the posters that UF has on this site? It's the same shite whenever anyone posts something about UGA we get LSU fans talking shite but I doubt theirs comes from insecurity either.

quote:

I get it. I do. Just admit it. You really, really do not want UF to be back, which evidence points to us returning to form, and the thought of that scares Georgia fans.

I love it. Why would I not want UF to be good? While winning the East in 17 it was fun but it was boring at the same time. I want UF to be in the top 10 like UGA was for so long and then lose to them and break their spirits like Spurrier did.

I wonder tho why Trask sat behind D'Eriq King all those years

His coach knew he could ball but King's ability was just too good to ignore

Still coulda transferred n got p5 offers. In Fla kids switch schools all the time if their feeling held back from offer opportunities they gone

It's free agency in Sofla and it goes national for IMG
