USC song girls have gone downhill recently. Those pics posted are from years back. They’re a pretty weak group now and I’ve wondered if it’s because of all the political bullshite that’s been going on.

Ole Miss seems to be coasting on reputation earned by previous generations. I've not been terribly impressed with the Ole Miss talent for the last 15 years or so.
UGA girls on the other hand... great googly moogly that campus is like a got dang smokeshow parade.

That's the truth.
Forget wearing makeup and dressing nicely. Most barely comb their hair and wear ill fitted jeans with bulky long sleeve plaid.

You are correct about political interference with the USC Song Girls.
Controversy has erupted lately about how USC selects its girls. Wokeness has infiltrated USC like nothing else.
Suffice it to say w/o details, many of the Song Girls have quit because of the libs who've taken over...even the website page devoted to the Song Girls on the USC Athletic website cannot be accessed.
As for the girls having gone "downhill" lately, I dunno. Some girls seem pressured because of the impression that one had to have the looks as well as the dance talent and other things to make the squad, which is rigorous. It's highly selective and some girls have cried "discrimination" and such.
USC Covid and Vax requirements in order to remain in school has caused some to drop out of the Song Girls 'cause they were forced out of USC.
In short, it's a mess right now.

IDK about politics but UGA cheerleaders were hotter before they started requiring backflips and other gymnastics

Likely because it takes 2 security guards on every corner of a 2 block x 2 block main campus to keep violent and petty crime rates down.
