Not fishing for support. I don't expect nor need their support. My arguments are sound considering i'm not homering for any side. I think the hit by williams was dirty, no problems here. He is getting suspended, albeit, probably for not a long enough time.

Josh Davis should have been reprimanded too IMO

But he wasn't. The point is that this suspension is insufficient...it was literal head hunting, and there is a pattern of thugish play from uga.

You seem to be upset that others are pointing this out.

UGA can't really talk about Auburn/Fairley anymore considering the Vandy game and the Cocktail party game where the bench rushed the field (under Richt's orders) to taunt Florida. Props to Florida for having the discipline not to turn that into an FIU/Miami brawl.

Richt "looks" classy, but his teams simply are not.

I can't remember the last time a UGA fan brought up the Fairly hit without an Auburn fan starting a thread, flaming, etc when the game at hand had nothing to do with the barn. We have the entire week before november 12 to hash this out again. Can't we just do it then?

Incorrect he wanted there to be some fire and to get a penalty from the people on the field. The bench rushing the field was not what was supposed to happen. Still a "gimmick" and unsportsmanlike, and we paid for it by kicking off from our 15 or whatever.

Rushing the field is exactly what he told them to do. Benchwarmers don't randomly decide in unison to go rush the field in the first quarter unless a coach tells them to. Who cares if Richt wanted "fire" in his players. Other coaches seem to be able to fire up their players just fine without nearly starting a brawl.

I find it amusing that the GA D-Coord got all up in a tither about the hit on his guy's knee, but apparently didn't think a flying forearm to the back of the head was that big of a deal.

He needed to keep his mouth shut and be dang glad that 1) his guy didn't put another player into the hospital with that brutal and malicious cheap shot and 2) that another of his players didn't end up in the hospital for a much less brutal retaliatory shot.

I've always like Richt, but if doesn't add something to this guy's penalty, I am going to lose a lot of respect for him as an individual. As another poster stated, "There's no place for stuff like that in football."

If I was 99, Id punch that guy too!

But im surprised that other UGA player was not excused for the remainder of the game.
you throw a punch to someone wearing pads and are ejected but launching yourself into someones back and leaving your feet and nothing happens?

First time seeing the hit, thats embarrassing for UGA football. With that said 3 of our players failing a drug test in the middle of the season is worse..SEC home of scandal, cheap shots, and most importantly BCS titles.

Should've been. There were a lot of antics in this game, and the punch was a knee jerk reaction, but still inexcusable.

I would have probably reacted the same way. That was almost as dirty of a hit as the UGA hit in the OP.
