In football, basketball and baseball in the same year?

Reason why I ask.... I believe Miss State has a legit chance to pull it off this year. You can throw in women's basketball as well.

MSU can be really good at no more than two sports at a given time.

Baseball: #6 Coaches

Good stuff. My first thought was, if anyone has done it... It would be Florida and most likely in the last 10-15 years.

I know that as of last year the Gamecocks were the only school to have their fb, baseball, men and women's basketball teams finish in the top 4 in the nation over the past decade.

Not what you asked but still something to be proud of.

Auburn could be this coming year. We will be top 10 preseason in football and basketball. Should have a solid baseball team as well.

Maybe LSU in 2006 too.

Yep, State and Auburn both have a shot this upcoming year. Should be close in football and basketball. State could be pre-season top 5 in baseball.

Well that has only happened once in MSU's football history. Why not buy into a first year coach being able to take y'all to your "promised land".

nope, in 2006 LSU baseball was firing Smoke Laval

In 2005 and 2003, baseball and football finished in the top 10, but basketball was bounced in the 1st round in the NCAAT

In 2000, LSU baseball finished #1, basketball finished #10, and football finished #22.

In 1986, LSU football finished #10, basketball went to the final four, and the baseball team played in the CWS. I don't believe the AP had a postseason poll, so I guess that technically wouldn't qualify as LSU made the final four as an 11 seed and was unranked in the final poll that was released.

1987 was similar too. LSU finished the season ranked 5th in football. Baseball went to the CWS and basketball the elite 8. As in 1986, I am having trouble finding a final poll for basketball.

I’m thinking Miss State will take over the SEC this year as the #1 atheletic dept.

They are the best.

Go State Go!

........Cow bells ringing in the background just to aggravate the shite out of you.
