Has there ever been a worse SEC defense than Ole Miss this year?

Are they worse than we were last year and year before?

I don't think this is going to be a great year for SEC defenses in general.

Our 2013 defense was pretty bad. Maybe not as bad as LSU/OM this year, but it was bad enough that one of the most efficient offenses in NCAA history with Manziel, Evans and an OL with three future NFL starters managed to only win 8 games. For comparison, of the other 9 offenses in the top-10 in efficiency all-time only one other lost more than 2 games. We lost 4 (and should have lost 5 if not for Manziel going HAM against Duke in the bowl game).

Statistically speaking, no. One thing that can't be overstated enough though is that the SEC is playing an all conference schedule this year. There probably have been SEC defenses in the past that were just as bad as this year's Ole Miss squad but got to pad their stats against FCS and G5 schools to make their overall numbers better.

We have up less that 30 last week. We are at least improving.

I hate to say this, I really do, but Arkansas is pretty lousy on offense this year. Giving up 33 to us, even though 14 of it was from your very generous QB, is something that should cause Ole Miss fans to burn down the DC's house.

As for LSU's defense... this may not help propel Bo Pelini to a big time P5 job.

Was that the one that allowed the Joe Adams punt return?

We put our defense on the field again 6 times right after they got off either after a stop or a turnover. Btw, this is something I haven’t heard anyone talk about. How many times did you guys turn it over ether on downs or by fumble or INT?

I just watched the Mizzou tape last night.

You have my sincerest condolences on the loss of your secondary. Hopefully some good comes out of this travesty.

We start three 5 stars in our secondary too.

It's all on the DC.

I was dumbfounded. I think it was late in the second quarter there's a Missouri wide out like 30 yards downfield by himself. I had to rewind to try and figure out why. Extreme growing pains with a new DC

Yeah, LSU’s is bad. We made Costello look like John elway. We made true freshman 3rd string mizzou QB look like drew Brees. This is the worst LSU defense in the last 20 years. Possibly all time when it’s all said and done.
