(Amended based upon feedback so far)
This year may set the standard.
Not only do most programs in the conference have good starters, but at least half have serious depth.
UGA
^^^^ Stoutest stable of RBs in the country, bar none.
Bama
^^^^ very very strong group of RBs with a ton of potential.
SCAR
LSU
Auburn
Arkansas (moved up)
A&M
^^^^ Three to four deep and talented groups of RBs.
Ole Miss
MSU
Florida
Mizzou
Tennessee (moved up)
Kentucky (moved up)
Vandy (moved up)
^^^^ They appear to be at least two deep, could go three, and there is some talent in those backfields.
Has there ever been a better year for RBs in the SEC?
ETA: Based upon feedback ... (there are seven RBs with the last name of Williams in the league this year.)

FWIW here ( LINK) is how ESPN ranks the RBs in the league this year, by program and depth, not individually.

UT will be 3 deep this year with Lane, Hurd, and Scott.
4 deep next year with Hurd, Scott, Kamara, and Paulk. Possibly Reid

You misunderstood. Having 3 bodies at running back doesn't make you "3 deep"

Jordan Wilkins finna eat.
Eta:
Walton and Mathers are coming back so Wilkins will likely become the short yardage guy. Legit 3 deep.

Every program has three or four scholarship RBs on their roster.
When you type "3 deep," are they talented players? Any productive experience? Highly touted recruits?

Hurd and Kamara have never played a down for UT. I have never heard of Paulk or Scott.

Kamara has that redshirt experience at Alabama though.

Don't forget Crowell. He obviously fizzled out and was a head case, but he ran for 850 yards as a True Fr in the SEC and that's with missing time due to injury.
Not saying he was as good as the others, but he was a part of that '11 SEC RB group.

There have always been depth a RB in the SEC. Before the Spread and the HUNH Offenses became popular, teams lived and died with the running game.

Alabama and LSU still live and die by it. Hell, if Alabama had a somewhat competent running game in 2007, those ULM jokes wouldn't exist.

You left out Running Back U.

I honestly don't think of Georgia much.

Everyone else sure seems to, several of your fanbase included.

Young, but very talented. I think Taylor has a very nice year, and I can't wait to see Adam Lane as well.

Derrell Scott was the #2 APB in the country last year.
UT's 2015 backfield will be nasty imo.

Is that Jordan Wilkins or Deuce McAllister? Can't tell.

Also don't forget about Vic Ballard - he had 1189 yards that year and averaged 6.2 ypc. Went in and earned the #1 RB spot in Indy before he hurt his knee.
