He shouldn’t be allowed to play and neither should have Pavia. It isn’t right but that doesn’t excuse LSU’s actions either

So what you are saying is that selective enforcement of rules is fine with you?

This is no longer an NCAA thing, it's an SEC. SEC I guess believed Trinidad's medical waiver is fine. If they were against it they would have said so months ago.

You can post 1000 times about it, which you are probably close to anyways, but it's not changing the embarrassment LSU is bringing on itself and the conference. I'm not that old, but I've never heard of the SEC institutions come remotely close to talking about throwing someone out.

Took kiffin and wade about 8 months to have other schools discuss throwing lsu out. That's impressive

The SEC isn’t going to wade into the medical waiver bullshite which is 100% the NCAA’s fault like this entire saga

LSU isn't even involved in this case. They also aren't in violation of SEC bylaws, like Ole Miss currently is.

You're right. I'll ignore what the sports media members are saying and focus on the guy trying to get to 100k posts on the rant.

Don't do that either. Try to look at the situation, objectively, for yourself.

They simply can not argue the facts of this.....and they know it. Hell, even Matt Bowers has given in and said it should be a no for all these TRO's/injunctions across the board

You can't allow some players to skirt rules and then force others to abide by them, that never works.

That's what created this mess. This 100% isn't happening right now if the SEC wouldn't have allowed someone like Pavia to play.

They could've said, nope, if a team plays an ineligible player, then you face penalties in this conference. But no, they let the toothpaste get out of the tube and now they're trying to put it back in.

Maybe they'll be successful this time, I don't know. But it'll fall eventually.

Again the SEC isn’t going to involve itself in the medical waiver battle that’s even more perilous for them than the NFL debacle

What's the cost of it at this point if Lane agrees to follow the conference ruling/ guidance on Friday? There won't be any punishment.

Maybe there will be ** on the season and a lot of the media will be against LSU, but that was going to happen anyway.

The benefit is largely just consistency and a deeper review on the Chambliss and Pavia determinations. The extra solid depth is a help.

It's not a hill worth dying on and I don't know how I'd handle it if I was Lane, but CFB is a mess right now and I'm surprised they draw the line on 22/23 year olds returning vs. allowing 26 year olds to keep playing.

They don't have to, the player has been ruled ineligible by the NCAA. People here keep getting hung up on the "why" of why each player is ineligible, that doesn't matter. He's ineligible.

The SEC requires players to be eligible and compliant with NCAA rules. Chambliss isn't, so he's in violation of that bylaw. If the SEC is selectively enforcing its own rules, that's always going to lead to trouble.

Why do you think both Lane and the governor have mentioned that? Will LSU take it all the way to forcing the SEC to punish them so they have grounds to possibly sue? I don't know, I wouldn't.

Yes it does because like you said selective enforcement of the rules. That’s why the NCAA lost in both local and supreme state court. It’s why they’re in deep shite all over the map. Couldn’t have happened to a shittier group of people.

And what you're seeing now is the SEC starting to get in the same territory. They're selectively enforcing their rules. It may not bite them this time, but it will eventually.

I'm not winning anything; I think it's dumb that pro players would be allowed back in college. I think it's dumb that Pavia and Chambliss and the rest would be too.

I don't know what happens, I think this is somewhat of a ploy by Lane to point the searchlight at selective enforcement, I don't know how far they'd take it though.

Why is it dumb? The NCAA allowed their arrogance and greed to lead to this. They thought they were too big to fail.
