I'm actually quite serious. The state of Texas, recruiting availability, monetary resources, etc. The overall weirdness is the only thing I can come up with as to why ATM has always struggled. You should be a powerhouse, but you can't comprehend that I'm actually paying your program a compliment and providing a sound reasoning as to why you've been a constant underachiever.

We underachieve because we weren’t a serious program until the 1980s and by then the caste system of college football was mostly set.

Until the early 70s, we were basically the citadel. It's why when you see arkies and whorns quote their lifetime records against us, they dont mention what it has been the last 40 yrs when we stopped being an all-male military academy. Since the hire of Jackie Sherrill in the early 80s, we are a completely different program
