Then we’ll just bring in Hawkins who beat you last year when your quarterback gifted us 68 yard pick six when Auburn had the game in hand

Don't forget the gift that gave you that win.

Losing to the worst OU team in a very long time.

Don’t be misled by Texas fans’ fools gold. Auburn isn’t ready for this Saturday

Wait…. What????

I thought the entire problem was Jackson Arnold last year? He was the guy that held them back.

How did he do against Auburn last year as the starting QB?

I have no idea why a TX fan would post this. Michigan may not be world beaters, but they are still a formidable opponent. ou could have easily beat them worse. If TX and ou played tomorrow, I would bet on ou.

You miss the point.

The point is, Mateer has yet to face a real defense. Let that fact stand on its own for now.

How healthy is your OL going into the game? I saw someone post that your entire OL has been banged up

You see, there's facts...and then there's opinions. The fact is...in your opinion Mateer has yet to face a real defense.

Jackson Arnold didn't play a snap vs Auburn last year. He was benched by then. That game was all Michael Hawkins.

Mateer with worse WR’s put up better passing numbers in that Wazzu offense than Cam Ward. That included 350 total yards and 3 TD vs Boise, who plays extremely sound defensively and made the playoffs. And unlike Ward who is mostly a non threat with his legs, Mateer is generational running the ball/playing off script

He’s clearly the next iteration of Manziel/Kyler Murray/Baker Mayfield/Mahomes. Manziel is the best comp for him, but Mateer is actually better imo. Stronger arm and more physical/patient runner, his vision/jump cutting is elite RB level

The significance of the Michigan game for OU is that Michigan is big and physical...

And for the first time in years... OU was able to match up with a team that plays that way. And it is no secret that that is what it takes for OU to compete with the top teams of the SEC.

Listen to youself.

Texas pummeled Michigan is the season opener 2024 (after they won the Natty) and tRant gave zero effs.

Now ZeroU beats (an even worse) Michigan and its a landmark victory - the wheels are suddenly back on the Schooner.

OP original point stands.

That's what I said, retard. It's called DEPTH. Most teams do this. So do we.

You’re equating depth with NFL talent. Those aren’t the same. I repeat, poor comparison.
