Has anyone stopped to think about the longterm consequences of this NFL player fiasco?

Supposedly this thing with allowing NFL washouts to return is a “one-time thing” affecting only the class of ‘22. But let’s not kid ourselves. If this stands, there is a 100% chance some player who washes out in NFL training camp next year will find some lawyer who will cite “precedent” in front of a judge that will be all to willing to grant a TRO to allow that player to return to college. Anyone who thinks it won’t happen is willfully blind.
But has anyone stopped to think about what that will mean for recruitment of both portal and high school prospects? I mean, who wants to risk committing to a school, going though both spring and summer workouts only to find out days before the season starts you’re being benched, or worse yet cut, in favor of some NFL washout?
Why would any sensible high school, or portal, player commit to such a program?
And why would any sensible program broadcast to all prospects that they’re more than willing to kick them to the curb at any moment for a guy who couldn’t hack it in the big show?

Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team received some disappointing news last week when it was announced that guard Bryson Warren would be ineligible to play for the program next season due to the fact that played under contract in the NBA's G-League.
However, things are now shifting in a new, more postive direction for Warren and Texas A&M.
Warren has been granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA that now makes him eligible to play for the Aggies during the 2026-27 campaign, per reports from Travis Brown of KBTX Sports.
However, according to Brown's report, this won't impact Warren's eligibility with Texas A&M, even though he played multiple years in the G-League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Westchester Knicks.
The TRO, which was filed in Brazos Valley court, prohibits the SEC and other conferences from restricting Warren's eligibility next season. Warren has spent this offseason with the Texas A&M program, which included the team's trip to the Bahamas for a few exhibition games, but the eligibility issues prevented him from playing in those contests.

You just KNOW some players are going to sue to receive their 5th, 6th and even 7th years!!!!!

Look, I get it. You’re naturally defensive because you feel like everyone is ganging up on LSU.
But you’re allowing your fan loyalty to blind you to the fact that while this move might have a slight short term benefit for your Tigers, the long term effect will be quite negative.

Multiple players have stated that no will be "kicked off" the team to make room for these players.
Also, this is a one off for a few 100 players maybe. Moving forward you have 5 yrs to play and there are no more medical redshirt/hardships if you get hurt or have a "cold" and have to sit out. The NCAA knew this would happen and thought it would help them pass the save sports act that's why they didn't grant a one time exception for these players.
