Mizzou fans know we have the roughest part of our schedule ahead. Most fans think our ceiling is 7-5 with 6-6 or 5-7 being more likely.

Most that post on this board weren't born yet or are to young to remember the SEC without Arkansas or South Carolina. People on here specifically that say they want to go back to the old days are usually just doing so to flame because in reality they don't actually remember those days themselves.

I would say that Arkansas is still not a natural fit but they have assimilated and the only conference where they ever fit naturally is defunct. USCe was at least a geographical fit and their culture is similar.

Its possible, as Cheese Grits pointed out that Slive had the SEC Network in mind when he brought you and aTm into the SEC, knowing he needed enough content to run the thing 24/7.

Culturally, I do not think its a very good fit. Mizzou fans seem to revel in the fact that they aren't like other SEC fans because somehow there is a sort of next-level humanity that exists outside of the South. Acting like you believe you are somehow intellectually, financially, locationally and in every other way superior to your PEERS is a good way to get ostracized.

Most of you seem to believe we are all backward hicks who have sex with members of our immediate family and livestock, walk around with a chaw 24/7 and have rotted teeth, DUI's and a goat for a best friend.

Perhaps the perceptions are off on both sides but, I spent enough time last year on a Mizzou board to realize that your fanbase, in large part think of themselves as above the rest of the SEC culturally.

I would like to see some assimilation culturally. By this, I do not mean that I want you all to go barefoot and ride the hogs, etc. Just don't act like you are better than the rest of us for the simple reason that you were born or live in a part of America that is falsely known for being "wholesome". Have a fricking seat in a lawn chair next to us and drink a cheap American beer even if its not what you like normally. Open yourself to the notion that some other BBQ besides KC MIGHT be pretty fricking good.

What you do in sports doesn't make a difference to me. We haven't kicked Vandy, Kentucky, or either of the Mississippi schools out, and I don't think anyone is suggesting that we should.

I suppose that is my main reason for saying Mizzou isn't a good fit.

They seem pretty good. Then again, I thought Auburn was pretty good until they played LSU.
