I think Hornung won the Heisman with a total of 6 TD passes.

That was the year OU beat them 40-0 was Hornung's Heisman year, 1956. ND was 2-8 so yeah pretty bad.

OU lost in 1952, ND was 7-2-1, 1953, ND was 9-0-1, and 1957 ND was 7-3.

Hornung said Johnny Majors should have won the Heisman. Majors said Jim Brown should have won it.

The only agreement was, Hornung should not have won it.

Some of us know the game, you fat fig.

I'll bet you're a sight waddling into Club fig. All 300+ pounds stuffed into "skinny" jeans. You trying to waddle all sexy for the queer black bulls, and the best you can pull off is looking like 20 pounds of shite stuffed into a 10 pound bag.

Tom o went balls deep on tenner. It was worse than what he did to Florida. Florida had Danny waffles. Tenner had one of the best qbs ever and got forced to bite the curb

Nebraska was historically a juggernaut from 1970-2001. They shite the bed every year they played a team with a pulse during that time with the exception of the National Championship years 1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, and 1997.

It is a bit ironic (for a lack of a better term) that their most dominant run occurred after the Big 12 Conference was formed because the Big 8 was a fraudulent football conference since its inception. That’s why the Bug Eaters (Nebraska) and Dirt Burglars (Oklahoma) have piled up so many wins. Neither team has won anything of significance in 23+ years, and won’t this year either.

That was a total wheels come off game.

It also taught me to never buy a shirt or other paraphernalia before a bowl game. I bought a $50 sweatshirt commemorating the game. The only place it was ever worn was changing the oil in the vehicles.

Greatest quote in football history was by Marv Levy before their 4th straight Super Bowl after losing 3 straight.

Reporter: "Coach Levy, is this game a must-win?"

Marv Levy: "This is not a must-win. World War II was a must-win."

You had to love Marv Levy.

Yes. In fact, Alabama has had its own Achilles heel. I’m telling on my age here, but I remember Alabama playing Notre Dame several times from the mid-1970s to 1980, the pinnacle of the Bear Bryant era, and the Irish beat them over and over.

1973: Notre Dame 24 Alabama 23
1975: Notre Dame 13 Alabama 11
1976: Notre Dame 21 Alabama 18
1980: Notre Dame 7 Alabama 0

As good as Paul “Bear” Bryant was, he was never able to beat Notre Dame, amassing an 0-4 record against them.

This is the content I was looking for, thank you my good Darth. So it’s essentially been 50 years since we’ve seen such an Achilles as Bama vs UGA

Except for that train Nebraska ran on them which is why I disclosed they weren’t exactly playing for titles every year.

quote:

That game was the equivalent of Bama's Utah Sugar Bowl. Everyone has them.

that was Nebraska’s 3rd natty in 4 years.
and 2nd time in 3 years they
ran roughshod over an SEC team in the title game.

Utah is not anywhere remotely close to being the equivalent of Nebraska during that stretch.
