Has any fan base turned on their HC just 5 weeks into their tenure like LSU fans have?

The Tiger Rant makes amazing reading these days. It's like 99% of the fan base has given up on Oregeron already and probably rightly so.

Dude had an intervention with his AD this week about the state of affairs. He keeps throwing players under the bus. He is just a bumbling fool. Can't believe how you could hire someone to be your head coach when most of the country didn't even think he made a good coordinator. Truly baffling.

No but honestly it looks well deserved. In O's defense, he is the exact same guy they hired last year.

Change a few words around and you can say the same thing about the current President of the United States.

LSU was not supposed to be a rebuilding job. It was supposed to be a job for a sustained program. I think the biggest mistake LSU made was making a hire based on keeping a recruiting class together. I hear fans and radio personalities talking about getting a coach wuickly to keep a class together. To me when you hire a coach you're looking for long term success and not a hire to keep 18 yr old kids together that will only be at your program for three years.

A large portion of the fanbase never wanted him. The problem is they fired Miles after an emotional loss and never had a plan in place for the next head coach. Then the Texas job opened up and Herman was gone. I'm not sure the Jimbo talk was ever legitimate. The buyout is baffling.

Coach O has literally never been an on-field coordinator. He's been a recruiting coordinator but never offense, defense, or even special teams.

His tenure is 9 games last year and 4 this year is 9-4. Does a 9-4 record get him fired? Loses to Florida, Bama, MSU and Troy. Give the man time. he needs 4 or 5 years at least..

I like how you completely made this up and then used it as the foundation for your argument.

Nope.

As an 'interim' HC, O is 12-4 (6-2 @ USC; 6-2 @ LSU).

Put him in charge where he has to put together a staff and run the program and his record is 13-27 (10-25 @ OM; 3-2 @ LSU) with losses to MSU and Troy.

Unfortunately, the reality is worse. Alleva tried to save face by rushing the Orgeron announcement before Texas announcing Herman.

O has been the coach for more than 5 weeks, genius. Price never even coached a game before bama turned on him.

shouldn't cast stones seeing as you don't realize O has been the coach for months.

And labamafan as well. Coach O seems completely unraveled and the wheels seem to be coming off. He is throwing players under the bus and and tinkering in Matt Canada's offense. He is the head coach and it is his right to do so, but when you are losing the way we have lost these two games, it's not a good thing.

A win at Florida will help settle things down for the time being but he is way over his head! Every SEC fan knew this and just about every LSU knew this! It's a shame that Alleva shite the fricking bed on this one by rushing the hiring process after losing out on Fisher and Herman. He should have taken his time and brought in a young coach such as PJ Fleck and company but instead he wanted to one up Texas by seeming to announce that we got our man and it wasn't Herman who turned us down!

The nearly fired Miles the year before and they fired Miles after the Auburn game...they had plenty of time to come up with a plan. This debacle is on Alleva.

Pump the brakes. A genius named Sick Naban lost to the UAB his first year. Also his love child, Hugho Freezo, lost to the USA. Michigan lost App St. In other words stank happens.

don't forget ULM. That UAB team was more talented than the ULM team that beat him.
