That sounds so nauseatingly cliche. Does he want gym rats as well? Guys whose motor never stops?

Personally I just don't see that working out in the SEC though.

In the long run, it won't. It can create some decent seasons and a few upsets, but it's not a great strategy in this league.

We're still waiting on that super secret list of Auburn coaching candidates

Posted the list about 20 times. All you dumbasses could do is call it a super secret, because you couldn't discredit it because every coach on it ended up interviewing for other jobs. I bet Tuscaloosa loves you coming to his defense will another dumbass commit. Keep up the good work.

How long before we start seeing a bunch of “recruiting rankings don’t matter - remember (insert random 3* here)?! I want guys who want to be here!” type posts from the Auburn guys?

What is your honest opinion of Harsin being selected over every one of the 12 coaches on the list, who all managed to interview in about a 24 hour window?

This play isn't innovative or clever really. Any defensive player with a corn nut for a brain can see the RB lined up out wide with a FB and two TEs, which is goaline personnel package, and deduce that a shift is coming.

It's a simple HB Dive play with a heavy goalline personnel package. The motion is just window dressing.

There are entire articles on this from SportsIllustrated, Sporting News, Bleacher Report, and even Business Insider. Do a quick Google search of Auburn luck. It’s a prevailing thought across college football towards Auburn. Of course, there is a level of execution that has to occur for luck to matter. But luck certainly matters.

Not impressed with the list, but it was better than Steele. Harsin didn't have the baggage most had and was successful. My favorite was Freeze, but we knew that wasn't going to happen.

Have you ever used Zoom ? 12 coaches over two days with each interview scheduled for 2 hour blocks. The Zoom part has already been confirmed by the doubters.

No, no, it’s a super clever play call with really neat and confusing shifts that are incredibly complicated - to include a full 270 spineroonie.

speaking of luck and voodoo

History will show that the flip of Rueben Foster to Auburn will go down as the single-most important event in changing the perception of the little/big brother roles in college football in the state of Alabama. Mainly because of what this manchild beast will do inside Jordan-Hare Stadium and the publicity that has surrounded the flip (press conference, tattoo, etc.). Not to mention the laundry list of fellow defensive recruits that are salivating at a chance to play with this wrecking ball on the field. This guy's magnetism and mentality are no different that Cam's. Both are once in a generation players and we'll have had them in Orange in Blue in a span of four years. I've never seen a time in which truly informed Alabama fans, not the toothleess Wal-Mart Muldykes, have been in such anxiety and agony over the direction of the Auburn Football program. I love every second of it, and they see what's happening and can't do anything about it. When you treat your players as family members and they play for you out of respect and admiration, things like 28-27 happen. When you have players that fear their coach, see rampant gray-shirting, bogus medical departures and wonder if they will have their scholarship the following year, things like a 24-0 complete meltdown implosion against your hated rival happen. It all starts at the top and CGC will go down as a legendary coach in college football history, not just Auburn history, Book It. I tell all of the Bammers without hesitation that CGC will win more national championships at Auburn than Satan will at UTea. If you hook me up to a polygraph while saying it, I would pass because that's how much I believe it to be true. The perception of Auburn Football in-state and on a national level is changing. September 1st is about to open the country's eyes as to what tenacious Auburn football is all about, and I can't wait to watch the look on little dabo's face. These are great times to be an Auburn Tiger. A dynasty is in the making, and if you don't see it, you don't have a clue. War Damn Chizik and War Damn Eagle.

I saw an interesting perspective on Harsin's recruiting from a guy on Reddit who I am pretty sure works for one of the recruiting websites. He's an Alabama fan too, so it's definitely not sunshine pumping. The gist of it was that Harsin wants to run a program similar to what Dave Clawson has at Wake Forest or Pat Fitzgerald has at Northwestern, and his recruiting has gone pretty well so far based on what kind of player he wants to sign. He doesn't want kids with big egos or an eye on the NFL from the day they step on campus. Just kids who really want to be there and plan to stay and work hard for 4 years.

Mind sharing the link? I'd be interested in reading that.

You are dumb as frick if you think you know what play they are running based on 2/3 TEs and a HB out wide. This isn't Madden, Sarks playbook was the thickness of a college textbook. That formation does not automatically mean run. Jumbo Package PA pass to Da'Ron Payne #94 DT
