I said PUNTING not PUNT RETURNS Learn the difference. Alabama had 295 total yards vs LSU's 239. Both teams had an equal number of turnovers at 2. 17 1st downs for AL, 15 for LSU. the penalties were about even. Alabama had a better 3rd down conversion percentage at 38% vs 27.27%. Alabama also had better TOP 30:06 vs 29:54. LSU had 229 yards punting vs Alabama's 79, due to taking long field goals at the 50ish yard line.

We never courted a new coach in an airport meeting behind the back of our sitting coach. We never had a coach shortly after a perfect season get run out of town who later complained that he had to tell his players that he couldn't meet payroll.

They split out the blockers out wide to force the defense to shift snd the blocking was damn strong.
I could easily see that specific play working in the sec.
