Watched a few softball games last year and was pleasantly surprised with how entertaining it was

Softball can be more entertaining than baseball much of the time. Shorter games, shorter times between pitches, and everything is moved in closer which makes for a quicker game all around. Also 95% of the girls are coachable as hell.

It is a good watch.

I would also add that is might be the SEC's strongest sport, top to bottom. I think it definitely will be when OU and Texas come aboard.

I'm glad opening day weekend isn't this weekend. We'd have to outfit the girls with skies to get to first base.

Is there a large season opening tournament somewhere down in Florida this year? I know a couple of times in the past, the Lady Vols have played a big 5-6 game round robin event.

ETA: I answered my own question. Lady Vols are playing 2 different Florida tournaments to start the season, with a tournament in Mexico sandwiched in between.

What in the frick did you just say?

OU softball is on par with the run Bama had in football in the 2010s. I'll be shocked if they don't win it again this year.

Ok the pic was funny. But I could seriously think of a lot worse ways to spend 3 weekends in February.
