Try not to blow your damn hand off during fireworks display, don’t crash your boat into jettis, or drink n drive like an idiot, and be careful if you are at the beach in bama or emerald coast. They are thousands of sharks within a mile of wherever you are swimming but they will not screw with you until you are dead. Be careful with those damn rip rides, if you get caught in one, just go with the flow save your energy and swim with the current at a slight angle into you get out. The key is just don’t panic.
Have a great time, and be safe, and hopefully the thunderstorms will miss you.

People today have no idea or appreciation on what a complete long shot this whole American experiment really was. The Native Americans damn near drove us into the sea at least twice, and Tecumseh was a lot closer to organizing all the major tribes against us then people realized. But for a mass extinction by Disease like they would’ve never been able to establish a foothold on the East Coast. In many areas 80% of the warriors died right before we were arrived.
