Sorry, but there is no way in hell Gus doesn't stick around for the NCG. He's not getting dicked around by Vandy, I can tell you that much.
You've got three weeks before the NCG. You think Vandy is just gonna sit there idol without their head coach out on the road recruiting? Regardless, if true, he's got other things on his mind besides the NCG. He's probably trying to get some Auburn commits to flip.

I wonder if Trooper Taylor knows how much of a clown he is to people. I heard Chavis and several other coaches couldn't stand him at Tennessee.

Dumb question. Hell no.
Don't be so sure. If he signs with Vandy, they'll want him out recruiting.
Yep. When Nebraska hired Bo the agreement was that he would coach in the BCSNC game but his duties did start before the game

I doubt he cares, to be honest. He's made such huge strides with our WR's that I could care less if he dressed up like Bozo on the sidelines.

Uh, yes. They don't have an athletic department...do you think they are really gonna be upset? Besides, news that Malzahn is going there (if true) will be a huge recruiting incentive for Vandy. He'll make some calls between coaching sessions...

I wonder if the way he acts will hurt his chances on becoming a coordinator one day.

Nah, I think Luper and Trooper have a good idea of what's going down. If Malzahn does leave, I could see a move for Trooper or a solid hire with influence from Trooper and Luper.
I think you give Trooper too much credit, I don't think he's shown any signs of being a good OC. He's a godd recruiter and Chizik's bridge to the players, but I don't think "offensively brilliant" when I look at Trooper

Haters will always hate. He gets results and that's what matters to coaches. I doubt any prudes will hire him, though.

I'm in no way saying he's a brilliant OC. I'm just saying he's been taking careful notes from Malzahn for months upon months.

I RA'd. You and your stupid friends really need to stop fricking up solid discourse in threads.

If the Dores are dropping that kind of change on Gus I'd think they'll want him out recruiting and forming his staff
Posted on 12/12/10 at 4:49 pm to rbWarEagle
Vandy probably let their guy know Gus acceped.
