Think about it. All these "Saban assistants" have been hired because so many of the other coaches (Richt, Miles, Butch, and new ones like Kirby etc.) couldn't beat Saban. But we got one guy who can beat Saban on the reg, (at least 1 of 3 times he faces him). Why not keep Gus around? What will you do Auburn when a new coach you get can't beat Saban at all?

Gus as the OC, Kevin Steele as the DC, who should our coach be?

Not at Tuscaloosa (unless you count the 2010 game when he was the OC)

Dont sleep on Gus. He has a young team, and they're working hard to improve. I hear there's some good practices being held down on the Plains. Look for them to be a tough out by the end of the year.

Gus has literally made a multi-million dollar career out of occasionally beating Alabama and Georgia, and not much else.

Got to give the man credit, he's milked that 66% winning percentage and 2-5 bowl record for everything it's got.

The barn QB is an azzhole. He has some talent but from a leadership point of view he is lacking. He pouts when shite goes South.

In a 10 or 12 game regular season, Gus is smart enough to save a great amount of offensive plays for the 1 game he knows is a job saver, potential raise/contract extension.
Quiet a few AU fans are burnt out, losing 4-6 games, despite beating Bama 2 out of the last 3 years.
He'll usually lose following bowl game after big Iron Bowl victory.

A scary thought is if he pulls one outta his azz this year, it will be 3 out of the last 4. My wife would have to send me to rehab.
