I would assume he's had these thoughts for awhile now, because working for ESPN, he's been to our practices several times since Kirby was hired and of course, he's seen Bama practice a gazillion times.

Said that Georgia practices the way Bama used to practice and talked about how the kids today don't want to be pushed like they used to, blah, blah, blah...

He waited until Bama got eliminated to say this. For the last two years, after a loss or close win it's been "The world hasn't ended yet. There are things to fix. You get back to practice and fix them."

Now it's basically that the culture isn't there anymore. Is this a thing going around Bama circles? Bama doesn't practice all out like they used to?

They don’t play like they used to either. GMac making TV noise to fill the time slot.

Thank God.

Most of ESPN “analysis” is just hot air to fill up time.

Not surprising when the coach and players are claiming to be scared of 100 pound females.

Pretty sure this was his radio show (not ESPN affiliated), but okay.

He's still an analyst and contributor to ESPN. In any case, regardless of whether it's on the radio or on air for ESPN, and regardless of whether it's specifically McElroy, most "sports analysis" is just random musings of people who have as much insight into sports as a typical SEC Rant poster (which is to say, not much, and of what there is, it is mostly vapid).

He's seen both teams practice. That's more than I've seen. You?

I figured this was a given. Look at the poor tackling and that seems attributable to practice.
I just presumed that Nick had softened a bit on Mon-Thurs and it's mostly "technique" instead of actual application.. Because that's what I see in Sat

He's insinuating they haven't practiced the same since this a-hole was running things

I find this hard to believe. They've lost two close games to Top 10 teams.

Yesterday, I happened to watch highlights of the 2018 game in TS and Bama looks like a completely different team (physicality) in 2018 than they do in 2022. It’s night and day.
