The best game last season was LSU/UGA.

Thats a good one but I think AU was involved in the top 3 games of last season. AU/UGA AU/Bama and the MNC.

Outcome not withstanding, that was probably the best game I have ever attended.

BAMA beats Archie in 1969

First prime time football game broadcast on public television.

Coach Vaught told me that on the field after the game, Coach Bryant said to him, 'That was the worst goddamn game I've ever seen,'" Rogers said. "He said, 'You're right, Bear.'"

October 25, 1969 (My first LSU game as a little Tiger in DV)
#7 LSU 21, #5 Auburn 20

Also that same year: Alabama 33, Ole Miss 32

Arkansas-A&M last weekend was pretty wild.
Plus all the multiple OT games that Arky, Ole Miss and USC have been involved with.

A few of my favorite greatest LSU ones also were: 1982 LSU 20 Bama 10
1988 LSU 7 Auburn 6
1997 LSU 28 Fla 21
1997 LSU 27 Bama 0
2001 LSU 35 Bama 21
2003 LSU 21 OU 21
2007 LSU 28 Fla 24
2008 LSU 38 tOSU 24

Also add the 92, 08, and 09 versions. All 4 were great games.

The '09 SEC Championship game was an arse-whipping

Arkansas/LSU OT game 2007

That fricking game was out of the Twilight Zone

I have never, ever seen Death Valley go from ear-splitting (before that 4th down completion from Dick to Hillis) to flat-out stone cold silence after the Flynn INT. in the second OT.

It was quieter than an Ear-Plug Convention in the Helen Keller Room of the Basement of the Troy Middleton Library.

All this is chuckle worthy, but I really giggled at picturing an ear plug convention. What would take place? Would vendors/reps be handing out free samples? Would there be a keynote speaker? Who would attend, and what would the entry fee be?

Makes you wonder..

IMO it is impossible to call a game best ever. Times change, the game changes, etc.

2013 Iron Bowl was definitely one of the SEC's top 5 in the last 25 years for capturing the imagination of the public at large.

1992 SECCG was a great game and the first ever post regular season conference championship game.

2012 SECCG (Bama-UGA) was a classic, as was 2008 Florida Bama. There was crazy hype for that one as they were #1 and 2 in the country.

A few of my favorites are the 1994 Auburn Florida game, the 2004 Auburn LSU game, and the 2006 Auburn-LSU game.

For old timers, it would be hard to beat:
LSU-Ole Miss game w/ the Billy Cannon run
Punt Bama Punt
Bama vs Archie on national tv
