A person on the Ohio State Scout board started a thread with some classic pictures of many teams in the 50's and 60's.

Here are some of the SEC ones -

Check out the cheerleaders...

LSU

Ole Miss

Auburn

Alabama
Stabler

LSU vs Ark (Check out the ties in the stands)

Tennessee

LSU and Tennessee 59

Florida
Spurrier

Georgia and Georgia Tech

and yet LSU fans for the most part mock people for dressing up to games on this site.

Because it's not 1959 anymore. Unless you're in a suite, a drifit polo shirt is as "dressy" as you need to be at a football game in south Louisiana in September.

I'd really like to see UGA do some throwback jersey's like the ones shown against tech. Come out in a silver helmet, red jersey and silver britches. Idk, I just think it'd be interesting. Maybe I'll see what the fark board can do with the idea

You do realize that with all the red color in the crowd that is probably an Arky home game...

and you don't think LSU fans didn't dress up for football games in the 50's and 60's.

I don't give a frick how old school you may be. If you're wearing a 3 piece suit to a football game in September you're the dumbest person alive. BTW, a lot has changed since then. We no longer have nuclear drills in schools either.

There's nothing wrong with that. I'm a shorts and a polo guy myself.

eta: When we start talking about shite like this you know football can't get here fast enough.
