Did anyone bitch when LSU cancelled the game against North Texas during Katrina? What contingency plans did you have in place then? Why didn't you just go to Texas and play the game? Idiot.

Cry me a river, Dennis Dodd. The game could've been moved. They knew about the hurricane for several days, but did nothing. All involved, especially Sankey and UF, dropped the ball.
I've always liked DD, but may may have to reavaluate after this article.

LSU has been told what to do during hurricanes constantly.
The North Texas game was moved to later in the year, forcing LSU to play 12 straight games without a bye week.
LSU had to play their home game against Arizona in Tempe.
LSU had to play Tennessee on a Monday night while the basketball arena next door was being used as a triage center.
Florida has no legs to stand on.

who here honestly believes florida would've beat lsu with 5 of thier starting front seven out. Serious question

Imagine if this year the UF game was actually scheduled for Baton Rouge instead of Gainesville.
Would this logic still apply?
Please.

You don't shoehorn in a game in the middle of hurricane as a competitive convenience to LSU. You don't force Florida players to get on a plane not knowing what they'd come back to.

Credit Barrett Sallee of Bleacher Report for calmly sitting down and determining that 52 Florida players resided in the hurricane warning zone on the state's east coast. Now consider the families of all those players.
LSU players travelled to Arizona State after the game was scheduled in BR and played a Monday night game Scheduled for Saturday all while they had their entire families staying in their dorm rooms. fricking weak excuse.
Gainesville is perfectly fine yet they can't hold a game. Baton Rouge was a staging point and had an influx of New Orleans refugees after Katrina hit when they moved the game to Arizona State and it still was when they played on Monday. Give me a break.

Nobody gave a shite about how the LSU players felt about what was happening w/the flooding when they lost to Wisconsin.
Nobody said it was an impossible task for USCe to play when they moved their game to LSU last year.
Nobody said it was just too much to handle for the players from FSU and Miami who played yesterday.

Except we didn't cancel that game. We played them on our bye week later in the season. Somehow, LSU managed to play every game after having two hurricanes. Played one home game in Arizona, one on a Monday, and one on our bye week
So man the fukk up and play the game on your bye week this year...

LSU's bye week is Oct 29. Florida plays Georgia on that date.
HOWEVER, Florida and UGA both have Oct 22 off.
So... Are you suggesting UF and UGA move their game to the 22nd and then have the UF LSU game on the 29th?
That is actually the easiest way to fix all of this IMO b/c then nobody has to buy anyone out.
Posted on 10/9/16 at 1:18 pm to Tridentds
So,Tridentds you think LSU should just buy out South Alabama for $1.5 M, lose $4M in home game revenue and play A&M on Thurs, all because Florida refused to move the game to Sunday or Monday?
Florida doesn't have to give up anything and it's all LSU' s fault?
