Richardson has been awesome for the Colts up to the injury. He is made for the pro game. His problem is that he’s made of glass. Dude is always injured. He does not know how to slide.

The fact that Mertz has passed more at this point tells you the coaching staff has more confidence in him.
Mertz has done a lot better than many on here thought he would....but that isn't really all that shocking.

There's a variety of factors. That's a large one. The other large one is that we had a legitimately good offensive line last year that allowed us to often impose our running game.
This year our OL is abysmal and we have to pass to setup the run at best.

Good points.
Last season you finished up at 6-7. This season you should finish (at worse) 7-5 and with a bowl win 8-5. I would say you are improving. You just seem better with Mertz. My opinion only.

Awesome is a stretch. Mediocre with a flash every now and then is more accurate. They are going to have to stop all the designed QB runs with him. His body just isn't durable enough.

Yep you cant survive in the NFL as a run as a main asset QB. Richardson is going to have to learn to be a pass first and sneak in run guy at some point or he will be on the sideline many seasons. It doesnt help being a big QB he wants to be physical when he runs at times.
