Well he won it because of Baker's injury...but yeah Matthews has looked good.

Didn't he win the right tackle job first? And then he took over the LT due to injury?

Funny you give Matthews a poor grade, because as it happens, the Falcons are on Hard Knocks.

Matthews has been called a freak by his fellow linemen and line coach because everything he does he does well.

He was doing so well at RT that when their LT went down with an ACL, the Falcons were confident enough in Matthews to move him to LT.

You don't move a player to LT unless he has skills.

You, sir, are a misinformed blowhard who has poor line distribution for trolling.

Where are all the Georgia players?!

Prison.

j/k, we're talking about guys drafted in the 1st Rd, so NOT UGA players.

These definitely aren't your grades because
quote:

29. Dominique Easley, DT, New England Patriots (UF)
Grade: F
Still working his way back from a torn ACL, Easley (far left) didn’t see the field at all during the Patriots’ preseason action. The team is hoping he’ll be available for the regular season opener, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

so how about you link us to where you got this from.

so 3 guys had a good, or even decent, preseason? seems like he's grading them compared to what's expected out of a veteran player.

The Falcons moved Matthews to LT because they have nobody else. That being said, he's done just fine.

Also Jawuan James has done ok. I'd give both a B. Not that it matters.

Sam Baker got hurt the 2nd preseason game. Jake would have probably taken the LT spot by now even if Baker didn't get hurt. Dude is a fricking revolving door, and was gonna get Matt Ryan killed.

F is harsh for the injured guys. I agree with the incomplete idea. None of these 1st round guys are getting cut anytime soon.

It didn't help that the Falcons lost RT Mike Johnson for the second year in a row.

This can't be right, Clowney was overrated and Dee told everyone at the Combine that he was better than him. Dee said so...

What actually happened on the field said so.
