Wait, Tennessee is already playing in the SEC tournament? I thought the good teams didn’t play until Friday.

That’s correct. The bottom of the conference plays Tue - Thurs.

Alabama went with a midweek pitcher today. Wasting arms to make it far in Hoover does no good unless you’re playing for a national seed.
Alabama feels like they have a good chance of hosting and there was little to gain by going all in to make it to Thursday.

Interesting stat. According to all the Vol alters, the Vols have the greatest pitching staff in the country, The greatest HC going on ever. The most HR hitters. etc etc. Their T Ball stadium has just been renovated Yet, their attendance is either only # 8 or # 9 in the country. 7 SEC teams have greater attendance, Obviously not the greatest fans in the country.
