Understandable...but what if LSU stumbles and loses a game? Do you anti-SEC unity LSU fans think that LSU would have made it to the NC game a few years back like you did with 2 loses if the SEC wasn't considered the toughest conference? No!!! Don't be so near-sited and realize that a tough conference is good for all of us. LSU made it to the BCS championship that year because of the overwhelming better non-conference record of teams like TN, FL, Bama and others. Since you weathered the SEC you got the nod in that case! Don't let your hatred blind you!!!

Newsflash: we don't have rivals. Just a bunch of people we don't like, and who don't like us.

I agree.

However, 99% of fans would say we do and proceed to list Bama, a team they constantly cheer for. This is what gets me. I think we can agree that the BCS system kills any true rivalries.

It's not a matter of "if" the SEC has a good reputation. That is already there. I'm gonna pull hard for Penn St this weekend because I hate Bama. I've developed that over 3 decades of watching their fans. But guess what. Bama will probably win. So by me pulling for the other team, I'm not ACTUALLY changing the outcome of the game. So if Penn St wins, I'm happy. If Bama wins, I don't like it but it adds to the SEC big dick contest you all worry so much about. It's ok to pull against teams you don't like because your preference doesn't mean shite on the field.

In 2007 we had 2 losses. If we had pulled for Arkansas to win every game but against us and that happened, we wouldn't have gone to Atlanta. Same goes for any other team in the West. It's a stupid idea for people not old enough to remember when LSU didn't even make bowl games. Win your games and you will finish in the top 2 95% of the time (sorry Auburn). But to actively pull for the teams you recruit against and play every year is admitting that you're an SEC first and an LSU fan second. It also shows that you haven't been following football very long and don't travel to away games at all.

Lots of Bama dick sucking by LSU fans here lately. Saban really has made you guys his bitch.

That explosive 2-2 record against Lsu has be feeling bitchy..
Personally i think Lsu fans should hate bama and Saban for the obvious, but we'd be fools to not respect him and what he did for our program. still reaping rewards from the foundation he laid in early 2000s.

Oh and DMb

I'm glad I read your post. I was about to post the same sentiment. If LSU has a chance( I believe we do) to win the NC, Bama needs to lose at least two games. Penn State would be a good chance!

We're not exactly talking from a position of weakness here. We won the last game between our schools, there's a good chance we'll be favored going into this year's game, and we'll almost certainly be favored to win next year as well.

Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.

That is why a playoff is the only solution. You can hate Bama as much as you want, cheer for them to lose every game, and if you win the SEC you still get a chance to play for the NC.

For whatever reason, LSU fans can't let stuff go. They constantly wanna talk about Saban vs Miles and act like USC raped us in 2003 when it was the AP who wanted to make a statement. We haven't even played USC in my life yet people act like they are a rival. Saban busted our championship cherry. Like a crazy 15 year old who got invited to prom and pounded, some of us can't let go our infatuation with him. I don't get it. I remember losses more than wins and he left us on a pretty shitty note with the Iowa game (also see UAB). Get over it. He isn't perfect and we have a better record without him than with him.

Chaz, I have been to LSU games am a LSU grad and a member of my family has played for LSU for the past fifty years. My brother still has his Sugar Bowl ring. My Stepdad is a high school coach and has several players on this years team, and I have been to dozens of games thoughout the years. I like Miles. I am old. So frick off here.

If you don't understand why we need every opponent to win every OCC game we can you don't understand the BCS. Yeah, if we run the table it will not matter. That hasn't happen in your lifetime and we will certainly lose a game this year. It just can not be against bama. When the end of the season is here we are 12-1, Boise St in 12-0 and Oklahoma is 12-1, maybe someone else too like Virginia Tech you will get it. There is a huge growing anti-Sec bias now and just because you win the SEC you are not a lock to the title game. UGA lose to BSU really has ability to screw the whole thing up.

If you really want LSU to win NC then you have to pull for Bama, and everyone we play to win their OCC games. The damn Ole Miss loss to BYU could cost us a NC shot. That is the BCS system.

Plus living in Bama since Katrina I have grown to like many Bama fans and dislike more Auburn fans.

Must think the "SEC respect" that the voters have will always be there regardless of SEC OOC wins.

TuthillTiger is right and if the rest of you ignorant retards don't want to agree with him then you deserve a team like Boise State to leap frog you to the National Championship. Let me break it down nice and simple for you.

Scenario 1: LSU goes undefeated in the regular season and wins the SEC Championship Game.

Outcome 1: They go straight to the National Championship Game

Scenario 2: LSU loses one game in the regular season but still beats an undefeated top 2 Alabama Team and LSU wins the SEC Championship Game.

Outcome 2: The Boise State National Hype Network (ESPN) gets enough voters to "feel bad," for Boise and they leap frog a one loss LSU team who won the SEC Championship Game.

Question: Which Scenario and Outcome would you choose LSU fans?
