I was watching the Ga Tech-Va Tech game today and I found myself wondering what it must've felt like walking around the state of Georgia when Georgia Tech actually had a fanbase way back when.

Dyer is a good back. The third best back in the league in my opinion, but Trent Richardson he is not. Lattimore he is not.

Dude runs behind a mediocre Oline in an offense that can't figure out the forward pass and basically runs against a stacked box every time he touches the ball.
Bama fans, why exactly is Trent Richardson better than Mike Dyer? Alabama's got one of the best Olines in the nation, Dyer's running behind a bunch of new guys and they have basically even production.
Trent Richardson is not better than Michael Dyer. He's also not better than Marcus Lattimore, but I dunno if he gets included.

What's the best Egg Bowl ever?
I feel like Alabama students either frat extremely hard or they're complete weirdos. No inbetween.
That photoshopped ABUURN picture has to be the most overachieving flame material ever. I have no idea how it gets so much mileage for being so poorly made, but here it is year after year.

I don't know if I'd say you care more about football than MSU and Ole Miss. Didn't Randall Cobb take to twitter last year to criticize football support?

Eating, drinking, drinking, tailgating, drinking some more, calling every opposing fanbase but Vanderbilt rednecks, drinking..
If heaven is anything like Alabama there are going to be a lot of pissed off people

Really?
"Well Alabama, you beat LSU, Arkansas, Miss State, and Penn State.. but we're going to let Boise State play for the National Championship because Auburn lost to Georgia."

Seems pretty simple to me. If you don't like the possibility of a rematch, you should begin lobbying for a playoff system

I've already said my piece on it, that Okie State deserves to go in undefeated but I would prefer undefeated Boise over undefeated Stanford or one-loss Alabama if only to end the continuous Boise speculation

But "lobbying for a playoff system"? Good luck with that. The NCAA itself is going to have to change before they do something that sensible.

bama- some old arse game their defense was stonewalling someone and a journalist said their D looked like a crimson tide.

auburn- tigers? they drew a name from a hat. War eagle is something from one of the early wars, there was some batallion or something that used it as their battle cry and it ended up coming to the plains.

Am i right? I could be wrong.

War Eagle, according to legend, comes from an old confederate war eagle that I believe a professor had kept that flew around the stadium in the 1890 AU-UGA game. Students said 'hey, it's the war eagle!" etc.
War Eagle, how it probably happened, is during a pep rally in the 1920s where an ROTC student said Auburn was going to fight their asses off because "this means war". When he said that, he dropped a metal eagle medallion thing. When people asked him what it was, he said it was a War Eagle.
Ugh I still gotta get a ticket to this game. I'm a senior and I've still never been to Auburn-Georgia between the hedges. So busy this week though. Thinkin I'll just get ripped off outside the stadium
I'm skeptical. The worst thing about the Iron Bowl has been when you fan the flames and all the rednecks get riled up, and this could very potentially do that. Coincidentally, this is why I don't enjoy Finebaum.

ARRN Bowl has nothing on the FLAGSHIP RIVALRY

I think I'm siding with Pete Fiutak on the topic of a rematch. It would be insanely unfair to LSU. Alabama would get another chance at LSU on a neutral field, and if they win they win the NCG? But LSU already beat Alabama at home!

Plus, I'm just gonna be honest, the only thing the SEC has left to prove after beating all the other relevant conference champs the last 5 years is to prove Boise State can't hang with a top-tier SEC team. Have Boise State play in the NCG, have them get smashed, and end the Boise question forever. It sucks they'd take up a potential spot, but Stanford doesn't exactly have a glowing resume. If Okie State wins out I'll support them getting in though.
For the last three years, Alabama has lost four times: '10 South Carolina, '10 LSU, '10 Auburn, and '11 LSU. Only in the South Carolina game was Alabama dominated. It's alright to be pissed after losing such a crucial game, but it's important to keep perspective.

Because at this rate when Auburn beats Alabama this year yall are gonna kill that poor midget.
