Regular season games WERE factored in, that’s why Alabama is at #4 and not #1. They also didn’t see fit to punish Bama for playing an extra heavyweight during regular season. By your logic, nobody would schedule a strong OOC opponent in the regular season moving forward as they would risk getting screwed for that and that would water down the regular season by the same token.

What is wrong with you people, good grief so playing teams with a 67 and 76 record vs. a team who played opponents with an 85-52 record is all that needs to be known, imho, hell Liberty is 13-0 lets put them in. (Makes ZERO SENSE)
Now add in a 13-0 team in Georgia. You should be penalized for such a bad schedule. Bama plays a Texas team while they play LSU, and we also scheduled Central Fl. while they scheduled North Alabama, so even the OOC schedule was better. Never seen such SEC fans in my life.

Exactly. The committee hurt themselves by not moving FSU out of the top 4 after the Florida game. What changed? The QB who played yesterday won't be playing in January.

If it’s truly the best, then UGA should’ve been in over UW. The problem is that the committee moves the goalposts based on what they need to justify their decision. That’s why the 4 team playoff decided by humans with biases and flaws has always been a joke. Should’ve kept the computers and THEN had a 12 team playoff.

If it’s the best 4 teams then UGA should be in over UW who is from a trash conference and is in no way better than UGA. It’s evidence that the best 4 isn’t the case. The changing standards is awful and sad for the sport.
