Greatest part of this thread is Maryland is so irrelevant that they are being made fun of for being in the ACC, and no one, not even the supposed Maryland fan, even remembers they are now in the Big 10.

If you won the NC, you won the NC. I’m not sure how 1951 is more significant than 1946?
Georgia has had five losing seasons since 1960….5. They’ll be in the top 10 winningest programs all time by seasons end. They are top 5 all time in bowl appearances and wins. They’ve been the best team in the SEC at least once in every decade save the 90’s since the league was founded.
And there is the small matter of being the defending National Champions.
You should probably back up and punt on this one.
