Not even close, Corliss and Scotty were on much more talented teams but Joe Johnson is easily the most talented player that we have had in the last 25 years. I would actually put Todd Day, Lee Mayberry, Patrick Beverly, Ronnie Brewer, and possibly Bobby Portis as more talented than Scotty Thurman in the last 25ish years.

Cool so Gafford isn't even top ten gotcha

I'm 45, I'm a woman (tryin' to Gundy there) so I've seen a lot of hog players over the years. Gafford is a freshman and it's not yet midway thru Dec so it's highly premature to call him the greatest ever. That said, I personally think he's got the potential to be at the minimum top 3.

IN MY OPINION he is the most talented player to ever wear a Hogs jersey.

ETA: Gotta keep reminding myself that people around here will try to argue with people on their opinions. Lol.

"Well you're a fricking idiot if you don't like potatoes."

Yea Florida's AD hired that loser on his own. It was the biggest WTF moment I have ever witnessed as a State fan. He seriously decided to hire Ray on his own despite nobody having a fricking clue who he was.

He's played 10 games dude. Chill the F out.

Joe Johnson? He's top 15 all time NBA scoring man. Come on and stop making us look bad.

Also, he's only like 9 games into his collegiate career. It would be foolish to say he is anywhere near the top of the list of most ACCOMPLISHED hogs players. That's why I said I THINK he is the most TALENTED.

There is a difference

My last post applies to you as well, STL.
You don't need my help looking bad if you can't understand the difference between talent and accomplishment.

He's literally dunked and had a few open layups.

If you think his offensive game is more developed at this point than Joe's was, you're exactly who I think you are.

Higher ceiling, more athletic, etc maybe.....

Most talented?

Nope. Joe was like a consensus top 5 player that year, maybe top 3 if I remember correctly.

So he's better than coaches we've fired? Quite the measuring stick

Lol.

Again, someone who will argue with someone on their opinions. This guy even takes it a step farther and says "chill the frick out", because get this, he thinks my opinions make HIM look bad. Lol.

What a fricking idiot.

ETA: Don't you have a wife and kids to micromanage or something? Maybe next time I want to write a thread I should email you to see if the subject material is going to be abrasive to your vagina first?

I would refer you to tFlagshipper 101 orientation thread. Stay out of my thread, bro. I don't step into threads you create with the intention of disrupting the conversation. Maybe you could show the same courtesy.

But nah, that's not your style. You're a control freak. You think things *I* say on the internet are going to reflect poorly on you personally. Man, I bet you're hard to live with.

IMO State will have three players on the floor more talented than Gafford.

You can't argue with me because it's my opinion.

That's great, man. Should be a good game. I have a feeling the Hogs handle business pretty easily. But we shall see.

State handled the game last year easily... maybe the Hogs return the favor this year.
