Running offense and running defense are HUGE question marks. Everything else looks good enough so far. If the running game on both sides of the ball doesn't get alot better very quickly, gonna be a long SEC season.

It was supposed to be Hilton, but that’s just not the case. The truth is we don’t know but AA looked very good.

LSU Fans, who's the alpha receiver on the team that you guys have always had in past years?

Aaron Anderson from what I saw on Saturday night.

I’m more than pleased. Offense looks better and Heupel looks like he’s adding more variety. Our worst fears were avoided. Defense wasn’t great and the injuries don’t help. But overall I think Heupel did a hell of a job having us that sharp after a difficult offseason.

We played a glorified HS team so there isn't much to go on.

DJ played 1 half. Started out very rusty but finished strong.

Our starting WRs are very young, and that will be an issue.

Our run game seems to be the strength of the team.

We will know more after we play a much improved USF next week.

Offense:
QB - improved
OL - improved
RB - improved because of OL
TE - improved because of depth
WR - needs improvement, a lot of dropped balls. Young and inexperienced

Defense:
DT: TBD - very thin. 2 key DT’s are out but expected back in Sept/Oct.
DE: TBD - I didn’t see much that jumped out but there were some solid plays made
LB: improved
DB: TBD - talents there but young and inexperienced. 1 experienced DB is out for an extended period of time due to an injury on Saturday. AA DB is expected back in mid-to-late Sept.

Special Teams: same

I think there’s a world where Florida is as good as anyone after what I’ve seen out of alleged top teams so far. Won’t know until y’all play Texas

Defense- Excellent. Played more man coverage that game that all of last year. Pressured a ton. Baker has no fear because the talent is there. Absolutely loaded unit.

Offense- Took what Clemson gave them. Ran the ball well against that front. Nuss managed game to perfection. Clemson played very scared of LSU's passing game and I thought our OC did an excellent job on not forcing the issue.

Overall- Looks to be by far our best team since 2019. The one weakness we thought we had played extremely well vs an elite Dline unit.

We looked good against a middle school team.

Do you have any clue why Lagway's QBR was so low?

Got em mixed up. Yeah that will tell us a lot. If Florida plays LSU tough on the road I’d say that would give us the answer

We played southern so not a ton to learn from.

I do think we aren’t near as bad as we were last year but probably still only 3-5 win team.

We will learn a lot after Arizona st.

Defense-looked physical and fast
Offense-hard to tell. Thought we would score more and have bigger plays but Clemson is supposed to have a great D
ST-so so

Eh....we stomped a 3rd world team, so its hard to say. Everybody looked big and mean and fast and efficient. But until we play someone with a pulse...??

Pretty pleased with what I saw on Friday. The tackling was atrocious, and we got a few too many stupid penalties, but it was a solid opening day effort against a decent team.

QB -- He made good decisions and took what was there. We'll see about the passing in the next two games.

WR -- Quiet day for them because of the emphasis on running. I think we have a good WR room.

RB -- Nice 1-2 punch. Serviceable and tough. Not spectacular.

OL -- Much improved in the past two years.

DL -- Improved.

LB -- Inexperienced and it showed at times.

DB -- Not a good game, but I think they will be fine.

Punter -- Good enough

Kicker -- Hit everything he was asked to hit, but looks very fragile.
