I think he’s smart enough to recognize if it was so easy to do, more teams would do it.
I never thought about it until yesterday when I saw it discussed on TV.

You post a lot about things you say don’t matter.

You're talking about the same man who would say week after week with a straight face our next FCS opponent was going to be a big challenge for our team.

The next time you hear Saban say something bad about a team will be the first time.

Ohio State has lost every single game they’ve ever played against a team from the East, 0-8 over 30 years..
The SECE has been bad ever since Meyer and Spurrier left. In the time Kirby has been there it has been pure crap.

And yet you’d have come in 2nd in the East, at best, that entire time.

You think Saban gives a frick about "regular season win streaks" and would have been doing anything other than being polite?

Yea, saban hated losing to anyone.

Ohio State has been better than Georgia several times during that time. I guarantee you will not win 40 straight games now that the divisions are over. Want to bet on it?

But to clarify, it’s not the same as OU’s 47 game winning streak.

Right. Ours is post integration against better competition (opponent record of 258-227 - winning percentage of .532 and that doesn’t count SECCG, CFP or NY6 opponents)

Oklahomas came from 1953-57 against opponents who were a combined 218-252-23 - a .442 winning percentage in an era when OU was disallowed from playing in 2 different bowl games in that stretch because of Big 8 rules that prohibited repeat bowl teams - so OU avoided playing two 10+ win opponents

It is not really that impressive when you consider who they played. Avoiding the tough teams in the SECW was key to their success.

Tough scheduling from a Big10 school is hilarious.

You have to essentially beat Michigan and Penn State every year and play a bunch of schools whose recruiting classes average in the 50s and that is it lmao. Talking about a weak schedule in the SEC is beyond hilarious.

Well considering no team has done anything like this in 70 years I am going to say you are correct.

Florida would not win a game in the B1G.

"regular season win streak"

Lol, no UGA fans are crowing about this. 46 - 2 out of the last 48 maybe, but not some bs about regular season wins.

Oh is that the argument now? Bc I thought you originally said Georgia’s win streak was unimpressive in the SEC and now have to move the goal posts bc you can’t even debate your moronic point lmao. What a coward

Accusing others of something they are most guilty of?

No one does this more than sm1, so it makes one wonder how real this OSU poster is.

What is Georgia's record under Kirby vs Alabama? I rest my case.

Georgia ran up their win streaks against mostly lightweights like Florida.

I see OU still hasn't built a university the football team can be proud of.

With your logic, Georgia shouldn’t count their 1980 championship since it happened 44 years ago.

And if you want to take 1980 away, then I guess:
1950
1955
1956
1974
1975 goes away and an argument can be had to do away with 1985.

That leaves Oklahoma with 2000. One title. You sure you want to do that?

Also to clarify, OU's 47 game win streak didn't occur in the CFB playoff era. It's gonna be a lot harder for any team to win 47 in a row when you face several top ranked teams to end every season.

That is true and no doubt that it would be hard in today's era to break that record.

But, still, you either have a long winning streak or you do not. This "regular season winning streak" stuff if apples/oranges. That can be celebrated as its own record, but it isn't replacing OU's 47 game winning streak until someone wins 48 in a row including all games.

This reminds me of the college football hall of fame (when it was still in South Bend) replacing OU's 47 game streak with Mt Union. Mt. Union deserves/deserved recognition but a D3 record doesn't replace a D1 record.

Not really when you consider it's because they played in the SEC East and dodged the majority of difficult opponents in the regular season.

That's not how this works, idiot. We didn't make the divisions, we didn't make the schedules, and we didn't make UF and AU suck arse.
