The problem for Georgia is that the best scoring offense they've faced this season was Missouri. Everybody else in their division is 68th or worse. Their defense isn't what they think it is, and they're about to find that out.

In the SEC we have this thing called defense. If most of our teams played in, oh say the Big 12 for example, you'd see them leading the nation in offense.

It's easier rack up offensive numbers when you play weak defenses.

This thread has been an interesting read. I'll say this:

It's going to be a good game. Two teams that have complete opposite identities going head to head in a huge game. It's definitely the most intriguing of the two playoff matchups.

Georgia fans who think our defense is going to shut down Mayfield are dumb. Oklahoma fans who think they're going to stop our rushing attack by bringing an extra guy down, are equally dumb.

If Georgia can sustain drives, leverage the clock, and make 3+ key stops, we win. If we don't do those things, we lose.

Look at where the teams you've played are ranked offensively and look at the state of your division. That's a thing, whether you accept it or not.

Already did. Now you look at the defensive points per game rankings and look at your schedule. It's a thing whether you accept it or not.

You have terrible, antiquated offenses in your league. That's why you think you have "great defense". That's also why you get 500+ yards hung on your "defenses" by OU. It's easy to look like a world beater defense when you don't play anybody with a pulse on offense, especially in your dumpster fire of a division.

Is it any wonder that the best QB in your league is a BIG XII QB playing in his first year as a starter?

OU doesn't play defense. Easy win for Georgia.

Dude. You might be right, but your QB had a bad arm. Your team this year was 3X's better than last year.

That said, I don't see any way possible we run away with it. I would be shocked.....but I'll take it.

So weird to think that you “need” a downfield passing attack. They’re really big on that. Different world in the big 12. We’ve gone 12-1 pounding the rock and throwing intermediate passes...

Auburn was trash last year with a terrible QB. This year's Auburn team is light years better than last year's. It's no surprise Oklahoma beat you.

You’d think the SEC would have like no national championships with its pedestrian offenses and overrated defenses....

And you think the BIG 12 is better than the SEC this year?
We are not as strong as we have been in the past, but I would put:

Alabama
Georgia
Auburn
LSU
Up against the top 4 in the BIG 12 all day long.
We are Dawg crap at the bottom, but at the top we skrong.

Everybody pretty much runs a verison of the Spread in the SEC.

Here Idiot.....do you even watch SEC football

quote:

As Kurt Voigt of The Associated Press wrote: “From Auburn to Kentucky to Mississippi, with a dash of Alabama and others in between, the spread has become more than just a way of life for some coaches. “It’s the ultimate tool to counter the defensive talent so abundant in the SEC.”
