In every game between these two dating back to 2008, it’s always been an offensive shootout, and Alabama has won every single time.

I just don’t see how this game is any different. In a nutshell, Alabama’s offense is too much, and Georgia’s is too little

Georgia has bullied every single team all year with two notable exceptions - Alabama and Clemson - the two teams who actually have the players and talent to match up with Georgia physically.

Alabama is strong in the areas needed to exploit Georgia’s weaknesses. Georgia’s defensive weakness is their pass defense - Alabama has a Heisman trophy winning QB and a deadly vertical passing game.
Georgia’s offensive weakness is their QB - Alabama has the best edge rushers in the country, and plenty of speed in the secondary to make INTs.

I don’t see Georgia shutting down Alabama’s offense, and I don’t see Stetson Bennett shredding Alabama’s defense - the two things they’ll need to do in order to win.

The only thing Georgia has going for them is that Metchie is out. However, Metchie’s replacement, Brooks, is more of a vertical threat. Not to mention, Brian Robinson is fully healthy now, and Alabama was able to run effectively on them in game 1.

I predict a closer version of Game 1, maybe a 10-14 point Alabama victory, only due to Metchie’s absence.

This is a lie. Bama struggled running the ball until late in the 4th.

Bama has struggled when they only have 1 of the 2.

I'm hoping Georgia wins but I have to say, this OP definitely has the ring of truth to it. I hope not but it is going to be the same two teams that just played a month ago and I'm not seeing how it's going to go much different

Roll double coverage to Williams often and play man coverage. Blitz often. See what happens.

Bama's offensive success is all predicated on the OLine having a solid game again and the questionable health of two starters at that position. If the line gives Bryce time like before, I wouldn't give Georgia a chance. If they don't, well. Could be a long night.

A big bonus for Alabama is a close to 100% healthy Brian Robinson. BRob and Sanders were able to run effectively, and if they build on that in this game, I'd feel comfortable predicting Georgia getting blown out. I'm just hoping the Bama defense has an even better performance and doesn't allow so many huge plays and extend UGA drives with penalties like last time. On one of their drives Bama had THREE consecutive PI penalties. Otherwise the score would've been worse, which is hard to believe.

Bryce had several big plays passing when Georgia blitzed, one of them being when they brought 6 defenders. Bring em on.

This would be a mistake. Brooks, the replacement for Metchie is a better deep threat than Metchie. Williams will take heat off of him and likewise the other. You will have issues with Brooks.

This game will hinge on Alabama’s defense in my opinion. They need to dominate all night long. Golding needs to be a little blitz happy. Cut Dallas Turner and Will Anderson loose. This needs to be a defensive performance for the ages

True but he’s not the technician Metchie is, and isn’t as good at intermediate routes. Make no mistake, losing Metchie hurts us

Yes, please. Bowers, Cook and Burton (underrated imo) are all dynamic play makers and genuinely scare me.

Luckily they have a walk-on throwing them the ball, sometimes to Bama DB's.

If read in context, I was saying Georgia has too little offense, not that they’re too little physically. Rantard reading skills. If anything Georgia is too big and slow

He was 2 for 8 with like 50 yards when we brought 5 or more.

If you're referencing a tweet I saw with similar numbers, I do think that was explicitly on 3rd down fwiw. Haven't seen a breakdown of all plays based on amount of pressure brought.

I watched every defensive snap for UGA vs Bama. Ringo and Wyatt were the only guys that earned a positive grade.

The bama oline played their best while UGA dline played their worst. I'd expect a median for both this game.

Ringo lines up best with Williams. Other than Williams, I feel fairly confident the other DBs can keep their other WRs in check.

Bama fans have forgotten about Pickens. Bama DBs can't cover Pickens, Bowers, AD, Burton, or McConkey with lone coverage consistently.

Robinson being healthy probably is a negative for Bama. They should keep it uptempo start to finish until UGA has figured a way to slow it down.

More rushing plays only helps this UGA defense imo. Young's mobility is the other deciding factor.

Saban changed Bama's offense and defense to win NC's against GOOD basketball on grass teams. In games against old man football teams, this offense and defense can handle them too. It's hybrid.

His defense now is very similar to LSU's in the 2010's ... we could handle most any team from the defensive side. Unfortunately, our offense never got into the new version except for one season. Obviously we couldn't sustain it beyond one season. But once Saban builds it, it seems to be good for a long time until it's time for an upgrade.

No one is better at upgrading than Saban.

I don't disagree with this. However, Bennett can't make great throws consistently either. As in high-level throws that Bama DB's (as young as they are) won't contest 90% of the time.

Kirby tried to confuse Saban/ Bryce with exotic zone coverages...instead he confused his DB's. This won't happen again.

I think it's highly unlikely Bama rolls UGA again. UGA played it's worse game my a mile. Bama played it's best game by a mile. Both will return to the mean in the rematch. Bama may very well win, but it won't be the arse whipp'n we say in the SECC game.

The health of the Bama O line and Secondary is a major concern. If it wasn’t for that simple fact I would pick Bama with no worries. I still like Bama but injuries may keep the game closer than we like.
