That’s a pretty good assessment. I wasn’t thinking about the temptation to run more with BRob healthy and how that could play into Georgia’s strength. Interesting take. Hopefully we will stay as aggressive as we did the first game.
Thanks, I invite you and others to rewatch. I remember UGA looking confused from some of the calls on the sidelines but didn't see that much on replay...
I felt the defense definitely experimented on how to defend Metchie and Williams.
I watched Ringo closely. He didn't give up a catch to Metchie during the 1st half.
He lined up with Williams a few times. He and Cine gave up the long td to him. Cine lost leverage when he bit on a move and allowed him to get over and catch it on his side, Ringo had outside coverage.
The other two times he ran stride for stride with Williams for an inc pass and the other Young decided not to throw it. Very small sample size but it's something to look at with Mechie out.

Yeah Ringo might be the only CB who can stay with Williams. He's the fastest player on our team I believe. Outside of the long TD, he's played great

The flipside to that is your best player (and probably one other DB) will be heavily focused on Williams and potentially allow another receiver or TE to have more space to operate. Going to be interesting to see how Georgia adjusts from last game.

I'm getting 2011 rematch type vibes from this one. But we'll see.

That a pretty bad example to pick. Bama would have never lost the first game but the kicker missed 5 fg that day.

As in you're expecting a huge Georgia victory and potential shutout? May need to clarify that one.

Definitely not a shut out, but I do have a feeling that Georgia will win the rematch.
ETA: I want Bama to win this one for the record.

Best player focused on best player? Shocked.

Would really like uga to pull finally pull it out. Seems like their fate will depend on Bennett.
That said, I’d bet on the team with the better QB.
Bryce shredded them last time.
Their rushing attack got some solid reps against Cincinnati, so I think they add a little more dimension there.
@bama peeps, what’s the word on Christopher Allen?

I haven’t heard anything on him. I wish we could get Allen back for this game but I have no news for you. I wouldn’t expect him though.

In terms of playing in this game or in terms of his future? He's not playing anymore this year.
In terms of the future, I'd assume he'll go to the draft considering he should be in good shape for combine stuff and all that. He was a pretty huge loss this year. He was an All-American level player and would have given us 2 edge guys that were both elite pass rushers and run defenders.

Plus another player to help. If the rest of Georgia's secondary wasn't average to below average, it wouldn't be as big of a deal as it could end up being.

Is Dallas Turner not on his level yet

just don’t see how this game is any different. In a nutshell, Alabama’s offense is too much, and Georgia’s is too little
This will be the difference in the game. No matter if the final score is 41-24 or 28-7 or 53-35 Bama will just outscore UGA because UGA can’t stop our offense.
Saban got beat by Watson and then made sure he always had a Watson so he could compete. When will Kirby do the same?

Bama has struggled when they only have 1 of the 2.
And how much did our passing game struggle in the SEC championship after Metchie got hurt? We scored 17 with him and 17 without him. We could’ve scored even more in the second half but Saban took his foot off the gas. He won’t do that Monday. 54-24 final score.

Bryce had several big plays passing when Georgia blitzed, one of them being when they brought 6 defenders. Bring em on.
Kirby’s delayed blitz BS doesn’t work on Bryce.

As a pass rusher he might be, but he hadn't quite become the run stopper that Allen was. That's one of those things that takes a full year of experience and an off season of muscle mass to really get a hang of.
He will, though.

Bryce Young won the Heisman with his showing vs UGA.
He will have to duplicate that again on Monday for The King to get that big ole Trophy.
