That used to be the one bomb you could drop on UGA, but the difference in degree prestige between the two schools has shrunk considerably over the last 15 years.

Vandy press room is busier than that

the guy you responded to didn't say they were on equal footing. He said that the gap has shrunk over the last 15 years. Honestly I don't see any way one could possibly disagree with that statement, it's an objective fact. Tech has always been an elite academic institution but even through the 90s UGA was pretty easy to get into. After HOPE all that changed obviously and the average incoming freshman to UGA this fall has well over a 4.0+ GPA and SAT score of over 1350. To claim that those are no different than in 2008 is simply ignorant.

Bingo. The tech fans aren't going to easily let go of their one last thing...

And yet Georgia schedules them as a cupcake every year

And yet LSU has a losing record vs Georgia Tech.

Fair points, but UNC has won division titles in 2022 and 2015.

We destryed them in 2000 and 2008.
Every game before that was 1910's to the 1960's. Who cares about that?
You sound like the Vol fans that brag about their 20+ wins over LSU from the WW2 days.

New OC came from our staff, Monken’s right hand Buster Faulkner.
I always thought of Todd Hartley as monken's right hand, more so than Buster Faulkner.

Well you were incorrect. Faulkner followed Monken to his last 2 college stops and was an OC at MTSU. He was an off field analyst at UGA but his role was communication guy between Monken and Stetson.

No, he wants to succeed so he can move on to a better job. Coaches don’t think like fans,

Georgia as demonstrated by the Atlanta DA is such a s—t hole. Kick both Georgia bulldogs and tech out of the NCAA

True, but Hartley was the guy setting next to him in the booth on gamedays going over papers and shite.

Heck, y'all was not any good as a team in the ACC. You had what, 1 co-championship, in 1969? The rest of the country was worried about our people in Vietnam or trying the making love not war schtick.

SC was in the ACC in 69? I had forgotten that. Though they came in later than that.

Here we go again. GT fans are RICH! RICH!!!
Georgia fans are hardly paupers. Georgia has more millionaires and billionaires in a huge fan base than Tech can count. Where do you think all money that Georgia has comes from?
It’s not tax money that supports our sports programs. It’s money from generous donors - large and small - who take pride in Georgia and don’t mind ponying up money to help them have success. Million dollar plus gifts are common.
GT talks a big game but it’s no secret that they are in deep debt and their “millionaires” don’t give a damn. They are frugal to say the least. Can’t pry money out of them with a crowbar.
I’ve known a lot of GT grads over the years. Only a few I’d call truly wealthy. The others are middle class at best and for some reason most of them are salesmen - even many with engineering degrees. Selling everything from medical supplies, sporting goods, and novelties to insurance.
Their fan base whines about the
“ high “ cost of tickets ( last I heard season tickets holders - other than those seated in a yellow painted area of the stadium that is usually 3/4 empty on game days - are not required to donate $ to have the privilege of purchasing tickets. They will walk a mile or more to their stadium to save a few bucks on parking. I know this first hand having once gone to a game with a GT grad. He is a relative. He and his GT buddies had a favorite parking place that was at least a mile away. I was told it was a lot cheaper and a nice walk was good for you. It was raining and non too warm that day. But hey he saved 15 bucks.
Another GT fellow I know was invited to play in a foursome at a private country club. He had bragged non stop for years about his GT degree and the huge amounts of money it brought him. When told the game was at a private club he said it was too expensive and wanted the group to go to a public course where they had special rates in the late afternoon.
Don’t believe it when Tech starts bragging about their wealth. They have a few very wealthy alums but the vast majority are not truly rich. They just like to pretend like they are

Bryant didn't understand why GT players were so soft while simultaneously having a cool name like the Ramblin' Wreck associated with them.
