It's more like toss up games than losses.
I think this is the kind of thing the OP is talking about. Typically, 5 loss teams coming off a season where they lost to Georgia Tech, Vandy, Tennessee, and Ole Miss, and last second or one score wins over Nichols State, Kentucky, and Missouri don't assume that every game against talented teams is a toss up.
I think Georgia will be improved. But I think they will be hindered by really young and inexperienced OL play, a bad offensive scheme that won't take full advantage of quality running backs like Michel and Chubb, a quarterback not being properly developed by his offensive coordinator (based on Eason's lack of progression through last fall and this spring), a head coach who, albeit has recruited excellent, has proven to struggle on gamedays and team management. And Georgias defense improved as the season progressed last year and they return a lot of starters to an already solid unit, but I didnt think "elite" when I watched UGA's defense like I did when I watched teams like Alabama, Michigan, and Florida play. Their defense will improve from solid to good, but I don't see an elite defense when I look at what UGA returns. I see an improvement from 7-5 to 8-4 or maybe 9-3. Not a big jump to winning the East like a lot of media and UGA fans seem to expect. Just my 2 cents

Where is the argument that Georgia should have gone in any of those years?
You aren't going over a bammer team that beat you in 2012.
You aren't going over an undefeated Texas and USC team in 2005
Auburn has won 7 conference championships since Herschel Walker left school. Georgia has won 2. If that is your guide, Auburn is still playing for a national championship much more often since Herschel left school

You just admitted that you're mad about us trolling the shark fricker. All fans are excited for the upcoming season it's not just exclusive to UGA . Excitement is the biggest bullshite reason for your argument, you're just mad that mac is into beastiality.

i don't expect an automatic playoff birth, but the Auburn fans who do have more legitimate reasons to feel that way than Georgia fans do.
Auburn has actually played for two national championships and had another undefeated season all during the 21st century. Georgia hasn't even had a legitimate argument for playing for a national championship since Herschel Walker was still in college
I'm fine with the first statement. You may be right there. Although I'd take our team/outlook/schedule over yours all day long. You may very well be the better team, but our path to the playoff is easier than yours.
Your second statement is just asinine and has zero relevance to what may or may/not happen this season. Who the frick cares about a championship you had a number of years ago? Why does that matter for this season?
O and we had a legit argument when we murdered hawaii in the Sugar bowl. I'm not saying we should have gone, but it's stupid to say we didn't have an argument.

Exactly. He's just mad that we own Aubarn's sorry arse.

This thread is fake news. Should have been posted on the poli board so people would believe it. I've been begging UGA fans for months to be confident about having a strong team this year. They won't do it.

I love spring game judgements.

Good to have a competent poster who isn't butt hurt in this thread TBH I'm expecting us to go 9-3 and be neck and neck with UF for the east. I would love to win the east so people can shut up about us canning richt and never winning the division. If UF improves QB play they could easily get 9-10 wins if not I think 8 wins sounds right but the same could be said for us.

We're acting like winning the east is some sort of huge accomplishment. 9-3 will probably win the east this year.
I agree with a lot of what you said though. I think the key is obviously the offensive line. If they're improved over last year, there's no reason this isn't a 9-10 win team. If it still sucks, 8-4.

You build this post in a way that frames your reasons for doubt, but leave out the fact that 3 of their 5 losses were pretty flukey - and by a combined total of 5 points.
Why is it irrational to think UGA can win the same number of games they did last year, and turn those toss up & fluke losses into wins? That gives them 11 wins alone.
I think it will be easily accomplished. Returning a defense that will be nasty, and play makers at QB and RB.

It's not a big jump. Could be as little as 2 plays going your way.

Here's your 2017 schedule. Pick the 2 or 3 games "most of your fans" anticipate losing:
It's not necessarily that there are particular games we think Georgia will lose, but they'll drop at least one to a bad team until proven otherwise and they won't run through the road slate undefeated. There's 2.

So it's wrong for us to expect to see an improvement from our team especially since most teams show great gains from year one to year two after installing a new O and D. You're acting like UGA is a shite team that is constantly on the bottom end of the conference. Several of those games are toss ups. Not a one of them are automatic losses.

I don't see it. Looks like most average their expectations at 9 wins with 10 wins being the ceiling which would probably be enough to win the East, but I don't even see where most UGA fans are even saying they are confident in winning the East.
They are the most tentative I have seen them in a long time.
