Not one picks UGA

I wouldn't have them at #1 either certainly wouldn't have LSU ranked ahead of them. The main argument these so called "journalist" use in LSU's favor is the amount that of in-state talent.Do these idiots not realize the
state of GA has THREE TIMES the amount of Blue Chip and
P5 signees?

The state also produced more 2017 NFL Draft picks than ANY other state More than Texas,Florida or California.

Lose the chip jazzbo. I thought I was the only person left alive who still throws DDDfD out as a superlative. Lew Childre intro'ed me to that tidbit of culture back in the day. Put it on my pot when I went oversea's in the 60's and it was cool to do such.

Sorry, but it is discouraging to see people who delight in bringing negativity toward others for the sake of doing so. Hopefully, you just misread and reacted.

Good day....

About what?UGA arguably has the best recruiting situation in the SEC amd produces 5 times the amount of
Blue Chip's and 4 times the P5 signees than the state of SC.A trained chimp should be able to pull top 5 recruiting classes.

Whats really remarkable is a school like Clemson pulling all those out of state blue chip athletes and becoming a top 5 power with such a small in state recruiting base.

Well, I looked it up and you are right, Coach Saban did say that.

And the Georgia fans fell for it......
Coach Saban just put the onus on Coach Smart and Georgia.

Just reread what you posted

quote:

Georgia has the most BIG TIME athletes of ANY STATE! And he school has a wildly supportive admin of a super aggressive staff and united alums. That resulted in n astounding recruiting class this past signing period. Unlike any EVER recorded since such data has been kept. And it wasn't close.

Now we'll see if Kirby can coach 'em. Keep 'em working. and off to class and showing up for the tutoring and paper writing and so on in the non-jockology required classes that students have to take.

You don't expect much do you.

Do I marry Kate Upton in that future, because that is just as possible?

But it will only happen in my dreams, the same as LSU and UGA....

Just a reminder the annual UGA pre-season NC banners will be delivered no later than July 4. One per family as usual.

I don't believe we have ever won one of those, and are generally thought to no be in the lead this year.

Since you have been told this is false and continue to say it, I willl provd=ide you with a link proving to you that you obviously do not know what you are talking about.

All 50 states, ranked by their percentage of the country's elite college football recruits

Your troll is subtle. So subtle I can't tell who exactly you are trolling. I am guessing Alabama fans.

You said every team that finished in the Top 10 in recruiting, did you not? Clemson finished #7for the 2018 class.

No. We didn't. Why do people think he is a Georgia fan? Georgia fans typically say dawg (For some unknown reason) and he uses "they" when he speaks about Georgia.

Of course I am 100% wrong! I just got confused and let the talent scouts who do that stuff for a living muddle my brain. Outside the QB's (and you only need one) count where the players in the draft are generally coming from. Remember we are talking "elite" players. And oh, btw, the state of Texas has 8, actually nine when you throw in OU, universities of significance competing for their players. And Florida has 3 booger bear schools. In-state Georgia competes against air mostly although Tech is a significant presence.

Nick Saban who has some expertise in this venue says it (best job in the country) so I and my eyes tend to make me believe it. He's coached at Michigan St (in the same state and or conference as OSU, Mich, PSU), LSU, and Alabama. And recruited all over the country so he would know. Georgia just had the best EVER recruiting class on paper...EVER is awhile btw.. The crux of which were Georgia players. It's the best by a significant margin.

Hard truths: * Georgia has more big time athletes coming out of H.S. football than any state in the union.

Simply not true.Florida,Texas and California ALL produce more blue chip and P5 signees but GA will probably surpass CA in 3 to 5 years.

The state of CA has almost 4 times the population of GA. On sheer NUMBERS alone, they'll pump out more top recruits than GA EVER will.

oh idk, maybe having the 2 best coaches in the history of football might have just a little somethign to do with it?

If you don't think Saban at UGA from 2007-present could create a dynasty I don't know what to tell you. Recruiting base has never been UGA's problem.

One thing I tend to look at more than recruiting services and stars is who actually becomes NFL players after college is said and done.

There have been a bunch of those over the years, and every year or two some writer beats the horse again.

They fluctuate, but more often than not Louisiana and Mississippi tend to be at the top of per capita NFL players produced.

I've seen some where SC is ahead of Georgia, and vice versa. Offhand I'd say the two states are pretty comparable for that specific measure (NFL players produced per capita).

And just from memory, I think Alabama generally does better than the rest of the Southern states, though you could see one with them ranked fourth or seventh or something.

Anyway all the Southern states do pretty well in that respect, though Louisiana and Mississippi are outliers.

And with the population, of course Georgia is going to produce more players than Mississippi and even Louisiana when you see how many kids from a state sign to play every year.

But interestingly states like Florida and Texas don't usually do as well on a per capita basis compared to some smaller states that are less heralded.

Part of it is if you are a super athlete from Slap Out, Alabama you just do not get people paying attention to you compared to a guy who may not be as good, but plays at St. Thomas Aquineas in Fort Lauderdale.

OK, let us say you are 100% correct, then Georgia is the most snake-bitten, under achieving program in the history of the world. All that talent on the UGA team, wasted, and you are defending them? Coach Saban is famous for two things, winning titles, and giving his completion a sense of superiority (to then yank the rug out from under them)....

Until UGA actually proves they are worthy, then you might want to pull back just a tad......and no, going to three NC games all-time is not proving you are worthy.....

I think Saban would have been just as successful at LSU, A&M, AU, UGA and UF.

Pretty much this. When it comes to football potential, all of these schools can be lumped together: the potential is huge based on a number of factors. Achieving that potential is so heavily dependent on hiring the right coach at the right time.

I'd love to hear specifically how Saban would be any less able to win championships at AU, UGA, UF, or more at LSU than he is at Bama.

Bama hired two legends in Bryant and Saban...no one argues that. But those legends could have had similar runs at any of the schools listed above. There's nothing in the water in Tuscaloosa that makes it unique from the others.
