Yeah, we lucked into 4 title appearances/3 wins since 2000. Hey, I’ll take it! You guys are better, we are just lucky!

Why?

Your only competition is Florida. You beat Florida, you’re in the race for an SEC Title. You all easily have more opportunities to collect them.

But we play Auburn every single year and beat them almost every single year, so why would we care if Auburn were in our division? That is what you said isn't it? That we were lucky we were not in the same division as Alabama and Auburn?

Granted, Alabama is easily the best team in either division more often than not. Yes, I do understand that LSU plays Florida every year, too, but my why was aimed at you saying we were lucky Auburn was not in our division.

Texas and Michigan are up there. They’re probably co-NC under-achievers.

Texas has 3 less wins all time than Alabama. Look it up.

Imagine ou and usc going undefeated in 2003.

Does that LSU team win the title? Heck no.

Fair. My main point is in the East you have to play 1 good team. In the West there is simply more competition, that is obvious though

This true the past 12 or so years. There was a time when the east was stronger than the west, though, and that lasted 8-10 years. It's cyclical as a whole.

Even so, losses against Auburn hurt our chances, too. That said, no doubt LSU plays Florida every year, too, so yeah, what you are saying is fair especially the past 10-12 years.

Georgia has really been pulling away from Auburn. Seems like mid 2000’s to now Auburn has only won maybe 3-4 time I can think of

I love playing Florida, I’m not going to enjoy them kicking our arse this year though (well everyone this year kicking our arse)

Yeah....no

Alabama on the field has 28 more victories than the numbers listed.

Texas is a good football program, but let us face it, the entire State of Texas (Div 1) since 1971 has won exactly ONE national title is football.

It's a strange thing. No explanation for it. There have been years in which they have had the clearly better team and we somehow find a way to beat them.

LSU will be back. It's a solid program that might have the occasional off year, but more often than not you have really good years with great years thrown in for good measure. I wish we could catch a break and get a couple of great years.

Maybe you should go back to the Poli Board, because you sure haven't followed football very closely.
