Really dude? What about this Kentucky game y'all are celebrating? No disrespect, but you beat a team that also got beat by South Carolina, and their QB was back after being injured. You barely beat Florida, you barely beat Pitt, and you got lucky that Bama missed an FG, not to mention that Bama should have 3 losses right now. The ONLY decent game that I think you should get credit for is the LSU game, simply because you beat them there. LSU is bipolar though, hot one week, cold the next. You don't have the defense that UGA does, point blank. If you think Oregon got boat-raced in that first game, then wait until UT rolls into Athens for a UGA true home game and folks disrespecting the Dawgs and doubting their resolve to beat UT. This has all the makings of a woodshed beatdown that UGA will administer. Enjoy the hype, enjoy the ranking, it will be back to your old reality after Saturday. You are blinded by your very lucky success, and NONE of your wins are as impressive as the Oregon win by UGA.

I know reading is difficult for Ba people but i am mearly pointing out that UT also had struggle wins.

Our excuse is we have been #1 and taking everybodies best shot.

Well, its pretty much proven that a team or coach can save their season or job with a win over #1.

Sad seeing a Bama fan dickriding UT.

UGA has played a freakin SUNBELT level schedule so far and you turds were claiming SC as a legit top 25 win.

Stetson should have had thrown 4 interceptions against Florida. UF defenders dropped a few easy ones andno one who has watched all of your games is scared of your defense.

You have some huge injuries on that side of the ball as well and haven't played anything remotely comparable to what Hooker and the Vols will bring.

This game is going to get ugly.

And if you see me in Sanford with my bow down to your number one ranked overlords pullover try not to piss your pants.

Bama has been number 1 most of the time for the past decade, "getting every teams best shot" is a cheap excuse. I come in here to talk about the spread and as per usual UGA fans act like someone trying to be objective is "disrespect" or "dick riding" because they are so insecure after 40 years of underachieving that they don't know how to handle an ounce of success. Truly, by far, the saddest fanbase in sports. I genuinely feel for UGA fans.

That's a you problem.

We are 2021 national champs.
Playing offense better than 2021.
And the defense is doing work despite injuries.

Already plugging in the excuse in case of potential disappointment.

We burned the boats last season.
No excuses. All hands ready.
60 minutes for the win.
We don't stress being down, any longer. We are a 4 quarter team.

What am I missing?

UGA quite literally has the #2 offense in the nation (behind UT at #1). UGA has a much better defense than UT. The game is in Athens.

The logic behind the line isn't hard to miss (even if you disagree). UGA's defense is more likely to get a few stops against UT's offense then UT's defense is against UGA's offense if both play to their form.

Thus the line.

I have no idea if this means UGA would win or Tennessee.

UTs defense might be the best defense you play until Atlanta (if you win Saturday). Thats sad

Right now Mizzou is #19 in total defense, Tennessee is 82nd. They have some ground to make up to be the best we play.

I'm not prepping any excuses.
We just got Jalen Carter back. Our best player the last 2 seasons. And the defense held the line without him.

Bama is the team that prints No Excuses on their walls. Bama fans print the t-shirts "we don't have backups, we have more starters".
That isnt UGA.

Tennessee's defense also has been playing ahead more than other teams and had some DB injuries before this week so other teams exploited that secondary in comeback attempts. They play far more possessions than most other teams.

They might not be better than Mizzou, but I don't think its a huge gap.

You're not really looking to talk about the spread. I gave you the factual answer and you went on to try to pick some sort of fight with UGA fans.

The factual answer is UGA is favored because their offense is the next best in the nation after UT, and they have a much better defense. The game is also a home game for UGA.

This is the reason for the spread. You can feel free to disagree with those thinking UGA will win, but the logic behind the spread is not complicated. The oddsmakers who look at the quality of the teams think UGA will be able to score more points on UT than the reverse... largely due to the differences in the defenses. The oddsmakers actually thought UGA was 12.5 point favorites, the betters bet it down to where it is now.

I think the smart play in this game is the over (currently at 66), not betting on a team). That over/under means that it's at a 37-29 final score prediction in favor of UGA. I see a lot of ways it will be higher than 66 compared to below.

So your argument is its ok for your team to make excuses because y'all don't claim not to

Well, we have just a single common opponent at this point between Mizzou and UT.

Mizzou held UF to 297 total yards and 24 points.
UT held UF to 594 yards and 33 points.
