Georgia has had two former 5 star OL enter the portal in the last 24 hours

Both were expected. Mims has been unhappy since the season because McLendon and Jones are ahead of him at the tackle spots and he can’t break through at Guard. He’s got talent but too immature to understand that being the primary backup and waiting to be a starting tackle next season as a Junior is a strong play.
Webb was never a factor and supposedly isn’t even carrying the weight needed to play OL in the SEC

In decades past, both would be guaranteed to become All-Americans at their next time, and they likely would haunt UGA.
It's interesting to see UGA folks just shrugging this off.

I don't think anyone is shrugging off the loss of Mims. He has elite size and a ton of potential. It would be a luxury to have him on the bench again this season, in case something happened to Jones or McClendon.
If he sees himself leaving early for the NFL then he only has 2 more years in college. Both of the guys in front of him on the depth chart are eligible to go pro after this season but they also could end up coming back.

Losing Mims hurts, there is no use pretending otherwise. He was going to be the starting RT next year

The boy has the body of an NFL tackle just needing some seasoning. It hurts, but the TP will always have someone that can come and plug in right away.
On a sidenote, news of this last season would have had the rant grunts spamming the hell out of UGA. I guess the Dawgs really broke the rant.

Story came out that he jizzed in someone's drink and let them drink it. Never heard anything on him after that. Buried in the depth chart. Him and Harry Miller from OSU were the top 2 Centers, both 5 stars, in the same class. Miller medically retired, and Webb probably won't make it in football

Actually it was his drink. Some baseball dweeb had been stealing his drinks so he put an end to that little problem.
