I'd be pretty shocked if he left for anything other than a HC or a DC gig in the NFL.

He is good, buy we know he is a short timer. Will move back to NFL or HC job in College in the next few years.

Just like to be informed, does he like piles of money?

Not to take a lateral move at best if I had to guess... more likely to be leveraging a potential move to ensure that UGA antes up for him. If there isn't a HC gig in college or a DC gig in the NFL, my guess is we ante up and pay him whatever it takes to keep him for this season, and then he goes on the same hunt next year. Needs other jobs to leverage to ensure he has good footing in the negotiation process though. I would not have been surprised if he'd taken the HC gig at UTk as that would have been a substantial raise... but he's making 950k right now... could easily see that number moved to 1.3-1.4 this season on the heels of a playoff run if necessary (depending on what the market is commanding externally). I guess you guys could try and buy him for closer to 2M/year, but would still think his preference would be to stay and not have to start over.

No significant existing relationship with Jimbo would make this less likely as well. They coached one year together on the 2000 LSU team it looks like.

UGA won't lose a bidding war as a DC.

If you want to put us in a pinch and drive up the cost of success, that is a strategy I guess. But we aren't a direct competitor to you. It would make more sense for a&m to focus on a DC that they could land.

He seems like a solid DC. No issues this season at all.

We didn't rotate our front 7 in the first matchup against AU like we did in most games. But the fear was that taking Roquan off the field would hurt the defense more. No blame there.

Halftime adjustments have been near flawless. 1st quarters have also been strong for UGA. It would be cool to see our scoring differentials in the second half.
