He's a very good DC. I'd be shocked if he jumps for another DC gig.
Were I Jimbo and I was willing to offer up to 2M for a DC... I'd just go try and take Lupoi from Bama... could probably be had for less and if not, you at a minimum force Bama's hand to promote him and overpay for him.
