I don’t think LSU fans expect Kirby to trip over himself to keep him, but that doesn’t mean he sucks.

You won't catch me passionately defending Hankton, but I don't get the hate. There are a myriad of circumstances that has led to productivity and development issues in the WR room, and it's certainly not all on him.

Nobody on here is going to know what kind of job he does. I personally feel like our receivers have been a weak point, but I don't know if that is him, the philosophy, Bennett, or some combination of those factors. Actually, I do know that part of it is Bennett because he floats the long balls. He has done a decent job recruiting.

You could do worse, that is for sure. My guess is that he is a pretty solid coach and recruiter. But working for Kirby is not for everybody (see Jim Chaney)

Not that at all really. It's been discussed ad nauseum on several UGA boards over the last year plus that he needs to step it up or move on.
As previously cited it's predominantly been over recruiting misses and development issues. That being said, he certainly hasn't been bad, he's just been lacking behind the other coaches on staff in these areas.
We've just gotten spoiled the last several years

Man you sound bitter about it. Is he really that good? The way you are so far the other way tells me that he must be a good coach and recruiter. Thanks for the validation

I don't know. Some of our fan base are not happy with him. I'm not sure if he would be a great pickup or not. I know he has goofed a recruitment or two.
