Also - Tosh ain't coming with him. Just FYI. Saban loves Tosh, fought like hell to give him a huge raise last year and Tosh would be the favorite to take Pruitt's place.

I am far from an insider but from a few guys I know around the program, Coach Saban loves Jeremy Pruitt.

It worked out tremendously last year. The aggressiveness played a major role in all of the forced turnovers and big plays caused by Bama's defense. This year, the blitzing has been more out of necessity because the pass rush has been absolute dog shite. They can't generate pressure on the QB to save their lives. Plus his time at Florida State and UGA speaks for itself. He had the #1 pass defense in the country two out of three years he was the DC at UGA and Florida State. The man's a tremendous defensive coach.
Yea I love Pruitt as a DC. He's fvckin awesome. Sure the blitzing didn't work some this year, but like you said, he's trying to create pressure that the Front 4 created last year. He isn't going to sit back and just play base like the former DC. I'm fine with getting beat some because you are trying to make plays.

Oh yeah - he plucked him from Hoover and look at the meteoric rise, both overall and specially at Alabama. That doesn't just happen because he's there. He's great at this job and works like hell.
He's certainly ready to get a HC job somewhere. But Tennessee? Now? Lawd.

George, I want Pruitt. He is the One. Add Tamaurice to the equation and I'm all in

Pruitt also worked with Jay Graham, if Gillespie departs, gotta bring Jay home

It would be entertaining as hell, I guarantee you that. I mean I'd were picking between Kevin Steele and Jeremy Pruitt you might as well go with Pruitt for 'cruitin and all around entertainment. Plus, there is certainly a chance he could end up being good. But lawd there will be some rough spots.
I can't believe Tee would come be OC for Pruitt though. That just wouldn't really make sense.

I don't care. We are staring down the barrel of a Steele hire. Bring me my high upside redneck Kiffin and let's see what happens. Can't be any worse than the disaster that is VOLS football since 2008

I'm honestly perplexed that Steele was even considered and allowed to become public somehow. Fulmer should know better than that.

I think Steele got a call because he's a Vol. Maybe used as a lower expectations candidate so that fans won't freak out when it ends up being Pruitt, Tucker or Bill Clark

The BS about Pruitt and the coeds at FSU is pure bullshite.
I'm not a big Pruitt fan.
But, the bullshite only started coming out of that shite fanbase at FSU after Pruitt left for a paycut to Georgia, and they were butthurt.
Yeah, he fricked a girl at work, and eventually married her. He met his wife at FSU. It's not like he was just diddling whores and sexually harassing the staff.

That's the fvckin move right there. If you are to this point with those slaw candidates and you don't make a run at Clark you guys need to fire up some protests.
Clark is legit.

Tennessee plane travelled from New York to Birmingham, and is en route to Knoxville as we speak.

Tennessee could do much better than Pruitt. He's a very good defensive coach and the players love him, but it's too early for him to be a coach at a major school. I think it would be a disaster.
Posted on 12/5/17 at 10:29 pm to Vols&Shaft83
At this point in this disaster, if Tennessee came out of this with Bill Clark you guys should be doing summersaults and shooting off fireworks. A lot of people who know what they are talking about want him to be the guy when Saban retires and Dabo decides to stay at Clemson.

Pruitt has huge upside, and honestly, how much worse can it get?

Bill Clark would be a slam dunk. He would build you guys back up. He knows how to coach. I'm waiting for someone to give him a chance at a big school. I don't think they will be disappointed. He's a damn good recruiter too.
Auburn folks will tell you to stay away from Clark, because they want him. If you want to rustle em up start a thread asking Auburn fans to tell you about Clark

Also, GD it, can we have 1 fvckin playoff run where a coordinator isn't leaving to be a head coach.
Kirby, Kiffin, Pruitt.
