re: Georgia a 12.5 point favorite over TCU. Doesn’t that seem a little high?

The last field goal is what matters. If Georgia didn’t miss the 2 field goals then it would have been a bigger lead and Ohio state would have never gone for the field goal. It’s a completely different game if Georgia makes the earlier field goals, you can’t possibly compare the game that was played vs a hypothetical game

If they were outside of FG range and instead tried a hail mary, and the snap was bobbled resulting in a sack, would that also be luck that UGA won?

Agree. A ringo pick 6, rather than a missed fg, was on the table if we were up 7.

But are they? Tell me why OSU should have won and I will tell you why they should not have won.
Teir claim to fame was they led (which if we had hit our FG's we would have led most of the game) and they missed a last second FG, which if we had not missed our two earlier ones would not have mattered.
Alternate history is fun.
I'd say we end up at 41-41 instead of 41-35 on your final drive. That probably changes how Smart approaches it and we end up with a field goal attempt from Georgia to win instead. Maybe that's the one he misses, we go into OT, and Stroud takes over like he did on that last drive.
Or, maybe you do score a TD too early, and instead of playing for a FG we have to play for a touchdown. We moved the ball 44 yards in 23 seconds. Maybe Stroud gets the last 31 yards in the 20 or so seconds left and we go to OT. Same result as above.

If we're doing hypotheticals, then UGA would have 7 more points when Bennett leaves the ball in McIntosh's gut on 3rd down on the drive that resulted in the first missed FG. It was nothing but blue sky and green grass ahead of #6 (though he might've tripped on that run, first).

So watching the game, GA didn’t bring pressure. They rushed 4 and dropped 7 most of the game. I’m not sure why they did this. They did the same thing in the SECC last year. In last years NC game, & vs UT they brought a different blitz package on most downs to much greater success. Ohio State also rolled Stroud out which they hadn’t done much of the year. UGA has a pretty good secondary. The idea that they are trash is wrong. The problem is that they can get decent pressure with 4 usually. They didn’t on Sat Night. You can’t give B Young, Stroud, Hooker six seconds to throw the ball. You’re going to get beat like that if you have Deon, Champ, Ronnie Lott, and Shawn Taylor in your secondary.

So, three field goals were attempted and missed but the only one that mattered was the last one?

No, they wouldn't. And what do you think the chances of them scoring on one play from the 40 yard line?

I am not arguing for alternate history. I am arguing that we had more passing yards, more rushing yards, more sacks, and more tackles for losses and somehow we were dominated.
I guess I just can't get me head wrapped around that.
Did Ohio State play a great game? Absolutely!
Could Ohio State have won that game? Absolutely!
Was Georgia dominated? Absolutely not. Unless somebody can explain to me how we were dominated I guess I will just continue to scratch my head and wonder.

Read somewhere that the Ohio State RG and RT are possible 1st round draft picks. That's stout, and would make it difficult for anybody to get pressure with 4 rushers. They have an excellent team. Period. It's not surprising that it was a close, hard fought game. It is surprising that people thought it would not be. (My opinion)

Obviously you weren't after four quarters, but we did lead by two scores for a pretty big chunk of the game. I think that's what people are seeing, because at the end of the day, points matter. Not yards, sacks, or anything else.
And "if we did this or that" is certainly alternate history.

What do you consider

a pretty big chunk of the game.

You got the answer wrong. That’s only a small chunk.

That's subjective.

It was a little over a quarter of the game. Is that considered a big chunk?

I see last year's Alabama vs Cincinnati game as a similar match up. Alabama just bullied their will onto the Bearcats. My guess is that this game will be somewhat similar...

Anyone else think it seems high?
Bulldogs had their "shite the bed" game and still won.
Michigan gift-wrapped that thing for the Frogs and then added an early Valentine's Day card.
TCU doesn't belong there. They're not on the same level as Georgia. It will be a blowout.
