I learned something new today, I didn't know you can't tackle a QB below the knees while in a throwing posture... Carry on

Made the same call against AU that extended a drive for Bama resulting in a TD. It’s the Bama way

Hitting below the knee is automatic roughing. Been that way since Brady lost a whole season after blowing out a knee. Rule changed for both NFL and CFB.

Poor Ty got hit too hard :(

yeah that was a safety prevented by penalty

Uh, the ball was out. No chance for that to be a safety call.

I agree that it's weird in some ways but .......

How is that roughing the passer? He hit him while he was releasing the ball
He was also pushed into the QB by the OL.

Not when that loss exposes the team as frauds without a playoff-level quarterback.

Well sure. We definitely don't need to get blown out in this game.

This is true. It definitely gives the tackle an incentive to push the charging defensive end as they pass by, though. I've wondered how much this rule really protects the QB.

SEC championship on SEC network, the announcers don't know who to blow.

It is a real announcing bukkake.

I wonder if the yahoos gloating about Texas Tech not looking good early have anything to say about Alabama.

now the UGA "academic" commercial - high comedy

He was already on the ground what is he suppose to do, not try to tackle him? If thats the new rule they need to get rid of that immediately.

personal foul - too much tackling - 15 yard penalty - player is disqualified from game. "Football, everyone. This is football now."
